Glad to see you're playing SoD as well, pretty excited for future phases and the possible lore implications. Maybe we'll learn more about the Scarlet Crusade or something like that, once we get there.
hmmmm im calling it. by the end; iridikron becomes galakrond in his attempt at ultimate power. and our only way to stop him is to close his loop and set all this in motion by sending him back
Crazy thought: it’d be funny if they’re going to use this as a time travel story, where SoD is a manipulated past, and Xal is just going back to get pieces she needs for this set of expansions.
I love the world soul saga and what blizz is currently doing. Everyone is uploading new theories and is speculating. Feels like so many people woke up and are excited about the lore again.
People want something good. Some moved on keepeing an eye on (such myself), others took a worse path of intense copium and denial turnimg also aggressive. Sadly, to me, the old god retcons; taking a dump on chronicles and the events of bfa and early shadowland left a bad taste in my mouth. No steaks, clichè story and massive plotholes
The problem with so many speculations is that people are not ready to see theirs being wrong. Wow players are always disappointed when things become different from what they wanted.
The idea that SoD is an alternate timeline and we might see Eridikron, Xalatath, or Bronze/Infinite Dragon flight timey wimey nonsense is incredibly appealing to me!
Blizz said it is not an alternate timeline but rather an in depth retrospective of the things that happened off screen during vanilla (we in gameplay terms did BFD back in the day, but our SoD characters were actually the ones in lore to clear it)
@@RealJuiceWrld Ya, I was a bit sad to hear that in the interview yesterday after posting this comment. :D On the other side of things though, it would probably suck for people that just wanna know the full story to feel like a completely different version of the game than the one they play is "required reading".

Hi! I don't know where else to ask you, so I'll write here, but the question is not on the topic of the video: How do you think in the new part of the chronicles Theramore will be described? In the game and the books, this is clearly city of the alliance, as well as Jaina herself - one of the leaders of the alliance, this has been explicitly stated many times, but in the third part there is written "Jaina organised the meeting between the horde and the alliance promissing that her city would act as a neutral ground", in my understanding, this was done only for the negotiations, disarming both parties - as it was said in the comics and the shattering. Just some players on the forum gaslighted me, and I don’t know if i can trust devs, ehat if they decided to make another recton..
If you log into classic WoW, there is normalclassic, hardcore and SoD (season of Discovery) it's has some differences to classic, i reccomend checking it out!
This is how it relates to the war within, it's extremely obvious : Blizzard doesn't want to test stuff but they're tired of hearing complaints about balance So now in the downtime seasons of retail, they'll playtest new concepts in SoD Look at the new "hero trees" and class concepts and then consider things like warlock/rogue tank and mage healer and it becomes very apparent.
I don’t like the Idea of Xal’atath doing things in Classic before her time in the story comes. It feels wrong. It also feels wrong to have new things added to Classic that aren’t in the actual game. Can a rogue cast Power Word: Shield? Sure. Whatever. ID really care what people living in the past want to do. I didn’t even care about the Mount. I’d never use it. I wanted the battle pet and am denied for weird exclusivity for people who want to roam around in the same zones and do the same things they’ve been doing for Eons. I need a story to continue for better or worse, but this is not the way.

@@joshuawatson9077 Yeah, I am kind of a purist. At the same time, I have been enjoying MoP Remix. They did that spectacularly. Unlike the weird new quests in the classic servers.
Yes, the horrifying implications of revealing that Xalatath taught player characters how to craft level 25 boots. Completely flips the entire warcraft lore upside down.
Oh god I hope not.. If they’re rewriting/retconning the lore to justify the next expansion Blizzard can jump off a cliff… because stuff like that sounds just as lame as oh the Guardians of Azeroth (Dragonflight) couldn’t defeat several rogue dragons who were empowered by lesser beings. Or the Prince that caused his own downfall was really innocent and was just cursed by the entity of death…..

It will be a young hip new god to contrast those dramatic boomer gods
Adorable baby old god.
I bet she's gonna cry like that zoomer anduin in bfa
2:51 "Letting her walk away for some reason" Could pretty much sum up the champion and every future antagonist(WoD intro cough)
Grom at the end of WoD, Azshara in BFA, what other villains have we "let" walk away?
Can't wait to see what season 2 of Season is Discovery is going to bring

My only hope is that they put some sort of cinematic in retail to explain any relevant details for those who don't play SoD.
Is your season of discovery character your character from back in the day? Her comment of "There you go again" implies knowledge of you.
This just starting to sound like Kingdom Hearts Xehanort/Master of Masters lore lol
DARKNESS
Well it would fit wows wtf lore yeah
I definitely had this idea when I got my void touched item
Would been fun if players could visit original vision of dragon isles in classic call it alternate vision or smh like that.,
I've been wondering if they are gonna tie classic and retail together with the world soul saga into a wow rework

So is iridikron another death wing?
what happens if you choose the 1st option in the quest chain? has anyone done it ?
You just close the dialogue. Same as saying goodbye or just walking away.

So Xal'atath is now the Annatar in WoW universe.
If Xal'Atath wants to evolve herself into a Nerubian spider-mommy, I'm kind of here for it.
All of my bestest buddies also like to give me cryptic hints about the treachery of the Titans.
