While I agree this is a VERY clear Shuffle win, Heretic's bars were a little slept on mainly due to his delivery and the fact that a lot of his punches have references that are very UK based

RUIN YOUR DAY if you like shuffle in this battle, you'll 100% love Shuffle against Raptor. Some of the stuff is genius, and Raptor doesn't come light either

RUIN YOUR DAY that’s the difference between good and great writing. A good writer gets the crowd behind them with a plethora of locally sourced references, which makes them hype and gain a momentary edge. A great writer transcends geographical location and raps in, for lack of a better term, a universal perspective. This gives overseas viewers the ability to relate and even forget the nationality of said rapper. Not to mention the replay-ability because they haven’t filled their rounds with locally sourced or topical references. Good = good. Great = timeless, and Shuffle T performs with such gravitas. The way he controls the crowd (& even his opponents) is why, even though he will never make it to URL as a gun bar rapper, he will always be remembered. He has solidified his place in, not only the UK but, the global battle rap scene.
LOL damn I dunno if I can make it all the way through this without cringing, Shuffle was ridiculously good. Was a fun battle though, shout out to all you guys cos Ruin Your Day is the fuckin best
I've always thought this battle is closer than the consensus
dunno why avo and co are hating so heavy in this video this is probably the closest anyones came against shuffle, def held your own and had some good schemes/material. this is a bad look from these guys. You'd beat Fredo any way.

Man I forgot about this battle, I've always said that Shuffle's 2nd round was goddamn GENIUS! One of those "Damn, how the hell did he write this?" type rounds for me. Heretic wasn't as bad as I remembered in this, his verses just got overshadowed every time it was his turn.

Ruin Your Day is the absolute business. Love it. The issue at times is its very obvious that they miss a good few really good bars from the UK stuff. Admitting 100% that I hardly watch URL just because I find it so hard to understand, missing so many of the references, simply because I dont live in American an am not in any way part of that scene.
Shuffles Ts "animated delivery- Postman Pat" bar is fantastic at least. Didnt they have Postman Pat in North America???

Heretic didn't rap badly at all I just think Shuffle has a unique approach to angles that really pays off when it lands and he manages to pull off using well crafted cadence's while still not seeming to take himself too seriously, which is hard to defend against if done right

It was a popular television show (also available on UK Netflix), called Bad Education, the main character (Teacher) was Alfie Wickers, aka Jack Whitehall and within the show, (being a shitty ass history teacher), he pitted the class against each other 50/50 with an activity he called ‘Class Wars’.
