I'm from Texas & when I was a kid I had a relative who gave birth in the 6th month & sadly the child didn't survive long because their organs weren't fully developed. Afterwards, my relative found out she had a blood issue that she later took medication for & was able to have another child. Ever since then & even before I knew what Roe V. Wade was, my thoughts on being "pro-life" vs. "pro-choice" have always been abortion is fine in the 1st & 2nd trimesters since the child can't survive outside the womb on their own, but in the 3rd trimester it depends on if the birth will effect the life of the mother.

Unfortunately, no Democratic nominee have run against these Republicans. They were brought up believing that if you were in a certain religion, they must always vote red. The SCOTUS has ruled and sent all regulations and laws about Abortion to the States. Abortion is now a State Issue protected by the 10th Amendment from Federal Interference. No matter if that is a law Preventing Abortion or allowing it. Any Law passed at the Federal Level would be ruled Unconstitutional under the 10th Amendment.

Time for jury nullification in Texas. Jurors should start acquitting every GD case Paxton brings against the woman, her husband, doctor, or anyone else.
Republicans count on the fact that no doctor is willing to risk their freedom and career by performing an abortion so they achieve their goal without ever having to charge anybody with a crime. Thus the idea of jury nullification is moot. Anti-abortion laws are purposely vague about exceptions for this very reason.
It would be nice if that could work, but the juries are held by what the law states. The only way it will get better is to get them out of office, while you still have a vote, if it even gets counted. The Republicans have passed so many new voting laws, and with Paxton still in office, your vote may be rejected.

In Texas, the doctor made my wife get my permission to get her tubes tied, to keep from having more children. She had to get my permission to sale land she inherited, but I didn't when I sold our home, or land that I had inherited, but I asked her to sign anyway, but they said it was not really needed because she was not on the title. Women are treated like second class citizens by our government.

The ruling was based on the Doctor’s advice that continuing the pregnancy would also risk the mothers life and jeopardize her ability to have another baby. Why does the State of Texas think it knows better than her Doctor?

None of us can. That's the sad part. As a Texan who votes blue in every State and Federal election, my vote doesn't matter. Our state's districts are drawn in a way that we don't have the power to do anything, despite living in one of the biggest metropolitan cities in the state whose population is mostly Democrat. We can't win without outside help, which no one wants to or is able to do, or without someone breaking the law to do it. More and more people are going to suffer and die under this regime, and there's not a damn thing we can do about it.

Unfortunately, no Democratic nominee have run against these Republicans. They were brought up believing that if you were in a certain religion, they must always vote red. It's the same religion I am but I vote Blue. It's because I took the time to read about history and about politics while I was working at the post office. We had breaks every hour so during those breaks and lunchtime, I was studying. Then I took the time to study at home and share my findings with my husband. Most of his family are anti-abortion and tRumpers. My family votes for whomever they think would support their values and beliefs. I vote Blue because I know about the messaging the Republicans have been using for decades to keep people too busy with two jobs to put food on the table when their Republican representatives voted to not raise the minimum wage to help them be able to afford better housing and better lives. I hope you can see why people like me can't ever vote Republican at all.

Time for jury nullification in Texas. Jurors should start acquitting every GD case Paxton brings against the woman, her husband, doctor, or anyone else.
Republicans count on the fact that no doctor is willing to risk their freedom and career by performing an abortion so they achieve their goal without ever having to charge anybody with a crime. Thus the idea of jury nullification is moot. Anti-abortion laws are purposely vague about exceptions for this very reason.
It would be nice if that could work, but the juries are held by what the law states. The only way it will get better is to get them out of office, while you still have a vote, if it even gets counted. The Republicans have passed so many new voting laws, and with Paxton still in office, your vote may be rejected.

The ruling was based on the Doctor’s advice that continuing the pregnancy would also risk the mothers life and jeopardize her ability to have another baby. Why does the State of Texas think it knows better than her Doctor?

None of us can. That's the sad part. As a Texan who votes blue in every State and Federal election, my vote doesn't matter. Our state's districts are drawn in a way that we don't have the power to do anything, despite living in one of the biggest metropolitan cities in the state whose population is mostly Democrat. We can't win without outside help, which no one wants to or is able to do, or without someone breaking the law to do it. More and more people are going to suffer and die under this regime, and there's not a damn thing we can do about it.
