Interesting design for a mermaid. This concept actually looks like a humanoid fish with fins for arms but a human female face. Kind of reminds me of the sphinx being a lion with a human male’s face.

I love Fan Bingbing for her doing a mermaid with a tail here, just as much or almost as much as mermaids from other movies or shows that were my favorite. Just like for her Marvel role, as Blink, in X Men Days of Future Past.
Just finished the film... it actually had great idea, but I wish anti-slavery was included too, like it was in the book... but in overall film more falls into bad than good
Kudos to the company and their hard work, but practical always trumps CGI, ESPECIALLY when the project sits on the shelf for years. All the Peter Pans to date and that one Pirates of the Caribbean movie did a much better job with their mermaid depictions. Jus' saying.
the way this mermaid moves to ridicullously fast that you cant even see her body is VERY STUPID, i feel like they dont know the bare minimal of physics

Splash came out in 1984 & Darly Hannah as mermaid Madison (without ANY CGI) was million times better than this!!!
