- God, I've experienced so much fun and ... so much .. Pain, in Classic over the last couple of weeks. And I love every bit of it. I already have so many memorable moments it's nuts. And to be honest with you, I think the Launch was actually pretty stable, there was a decent amount of lag and crashing in the beginning but I honestly had a way worse experience at the launch of BfA.

To be totally honest with you guys, I think the Classic launch was actually fairly stable. Excluding the terrifying queues, I didn't get DC-ed on too many occasions, and the lag was kinda bad, but it was just for the first day or so. I honestly DC-ed and lagged way more at the BfA launch. so yea. Good job classic blizzard team

@@philipedward1105 why do you love that guy? he is scamming his own guildmembers out of eq, mats and gold when ever he can and a lot of times, while he is in a dungeon, raid or battleground, he ist just afk following/standing around watching youtube videos and his fanbase makes the rest for him. gold and equipment gets thrown at him for no reason and he often isn't even really responsible for his own achievments... how is that entertaining for you? >.>

Listen i had an 85 holy priest that i leveled 60% of it through pvp i love pvp its the like the best running around pocket healing the most buff guy shredding down capping flags being protected by every team member because you're their heals.. i felt like the star of the show. Even though id have zero damage i was top healer!
@@philipedward1105 dude, after wotlk i did almost nothing other than playing pvp. sometimes some questing or a few dungeons to get enough gold to repair my stuff. did play healshaman, holypriest, holypaladin, warlock and hunter. i stopped playing near end of WoD because i simply had enough on how elitist everyone has had become.
the way you frased it, i understand what you mean. scratching the itch is needed sometimes when you did something for so long and suddenly stop. but there is way better wow content out there, it is just not as popular^^

I never get tired of jokes about NPCs having to deal with the crap from us the players. Also loved the joke about the Undead guy being afraid to admit that Vanilla was fun in its own right. ^^

Iam definitly guilty of hating on classic an then liking it after i played it again, didn´t tought nostalgia could be that strong. And all the other things like loot worth that i havn´t considerd before making my opinion on classic. Iam still pretty sure that Retail is the better game but comparing things to retail isnt that fair anyways.

I'm constantly buffing people and helping them out on my priest. I will chase people down to buff their stamina.

I’m really late to the comment and I’ve never actually played WoW but Captain Grimm’s videos are so funny and high quality that after a friend of mine who did play until recently, filled me in on much of WoW’s history and mechanics.
So I’ll straight up admit I’m a visitor from Eorzea (FF14) and before that, many years old my MMO home was FF11’s Vana’diel. The former had a lot of similarities to WoW such as powerful mobs that spawned at intervals ranging between six hours and 72 hours that always dropped the most effective and superior weapons/armour or items that would be of immense use to you if your class used those stats, or worth a ton of money on the player driven Auction House.
Linkshells (Free Companies or Player Guilds) learnt the last “death time” of these mobs and would start camping the spawn area shortly before it was due to respawn. And yes it was a race because the first person to hit the monster got it locked to her and her group. Nobody else could join the fight and partake in the rewards unless they all died and the mob returned to normal status. White coloured name for normal, red for being in battle against you. Purple I think for people watching the fight but aren’t able to claim or fight it. And orange was the colour of the mob had been killed by the mob and it was still recovering from the damage they did before being killed.
When a mob was in orange mode other groups could still attack and kill it but they’d get no loot for it. Waiting for it to return to full health and white mode was vital.
Funnily enough as my character grew in level and travelled through lower level areas I soon began realising the special legendary mobs were due to spawn because in this one area of a map filled with lvl 12-16 monsters had level capped players at lvl 75 camping the spawn area.
I freely admit that usually I would stop and camp too. Usually I’d only have to wait between two and fifteen minutes before the legendary monster spawned and because I was a Mage with both single and AoE spells bound in well written macros I was actually pretty darn successful in claiming the mob. Usually the stuff would be put on for sale at the AH but sometimes would pay 50k more than AH price to buy it from me directly. (Not a bad idea since they rarely were in stock at the AG.)
So yeah FF11 had many of the same or similar content and mechanics as WoW. My only real complaints I had with FF11 is that it was just about nothing one could accomplish could be feasibly done solo. Very few main quests beyond lvl 10 could be done solo and even when the mob checker said “decent challenge” if you won it was a narrow victory that took awhile in the “healing crouch” position to regain hp and mp. Most quests after lvl 10 required a full group. Most linkshell clans were created with a roster of quests to run everyone through. This was especially true with the Promathia expansion with enforced level syncing.
Even levelling up required a group of six people. Usually tank, healer, support/secondary healer and the rest were DPS. (Oh and once Bard and Red Mage learned their mp regen spells they sorta became essential.) A good team could make really good exp gain.
So yeah WoW seems familiar in many respects such as spawn camping and whatnot. But the communities were different as FF11 literally forced you to play nice to get anything done. That and the GMs took complaints seriously and many trolls ended up in Mordion.
Now FF14 is pretty different with large chunks of the game being soloable. Really my only real gripe is that the multiplayer dungeons have to be done as parts of the main quest. I do feel group content should be optional.
Ah well at least the FF14 community is nice for the vast majority.
And as any other perfect machinima, it ends with Stormwind on fire. Excellent!

So yesterday I was chilling in Stormwind AH. And out of nowhere somehow x2 Onyxia's elite dragonkin were pulled into the stormwind. They started murdering everyone! One shot-ing most players on sight. NPC guards tried to kill them without success. Anyone who dared to help the guards or heal them were murdered where they stood. Eventually after killing over 50+ people they despawned. I'm still in shock after what I witnessed xD Classic experience.
Wait...the Oxnyia raid isn't even on Eastern Kingdoms (Eastrend) so how did that pull occur??
@@christianfreedom-seeker934 I only recently discovered that there's a questline where Onyxia reveals herself for the first time in Stormwind Throne room. And she summons bunch of elite dragonkin. it seems this is where people pulled them from to AH ;)

Me, someone who never played wow before August 2019: It was as glorious as the videos showed. I had an amazing community and made great friends, we split apart with tbc being not so fun sadly.
The bots were a problem and the boost too, but the boost were more a easy way to level twinks, the original level phase was amazing and on my server even Twink leveling was fun till phase 4, my server was slow on getting the hang of boosting xD
