What an era, sometimes TH-cam videos are like time capsules. It's fun to go back and watch old Demo videos and instantly throw myself back to when I just graduated high school. After a 3 year fight with cancer, my oncologist told me on Xmas eve that I have 2-6 months left to live. I always dreamed of visiting and will never get the chance. I think you quitting TH-cam is more depressing than my prognosis. I’ve had 3 years to come to terms with that. You’ve been my favourite TH-camr for as long as I can remember.
I dont know you but I hope you keep fighting and live a long enjoyable life

Damn man this hits different seeing this, take care DemolitionRanch!! And Cheers Tom!!!!! I grew up watching as a dumb teen some of your BO3 zombie livestreams and videos, always a blast of nostalgia when I think of that game, as far as zombies goes it was not bad at all! I think arguably it's a lot of people's favorites now because of all of these crazy mods they have too, I might have to try some of them sometime honestly but I suck at solo zombies usually lol. Now this nostalgia is mixing in with sadness, I guess that goes to show nothing is life is forever, gotta enjoy the moment while we can as much as we can, eh? Growing up learning about the reality of life, it didn't hit me till I was about 19 that this life is just temporary, until then I always felt invicible, but I guess that's how kids are lmao. Ah well, gotta grow up sometime I guess. Now I try and be more grateful of the present moment, as much as possible because of this, before that I kind of took things for granted sometimes I can't lie. But as they say: you live and you learn... Shittily enough sometimes you gotta learn the hard way too. :/ I try not to though, try and think before doing something stupd at least. :) I am genuinely happy though, but sad too, happy Demolition Ranch will finally get the much deserved time he needs with this family. Anyways, enough of my dumb rant I am just bored and been stuck inside for a month. (car in the shop) But I still would feel this way no matter what. :/ I'm sure some can relate, or I hope idk.

My claim to fame was giving matt the telephone poles for the new range, I'll never forget the day he looked at me and said hey you wanna be in the video. I had more family and friends over for those 2 videos than superbowl. Thank you for the opportunity and the memories.
I used to work for the railroad, was gone more than I wasn’t, almost never saw my kid, hardly saw my wife. Randomly decided to leave that job and go back to my lower paying job so I could be with my family. Couldn’t be happier! I’m definitely gonna miss you all, your videos made me laugh when I had a hard time even smiling, but I understand completely why you want to spend more time with your family! I just hope you keep the channel up so we can rewatch older videos that we love!

The thing is that it is not like he would never see his family. He has as much time with them as anyone else out there working a job. Heck, he could even spend more time with them, because he could film one day a week and then do nothing until the next week. Personally I think it is because he has run out of ideas on what to do for the Demo Ranch videos, and wanted to get out of the resort because it was a huge money drain. So the content for the Off the Ranch channel would be mostly gone as well. Not sure what he is going to do to fill his time. Kids will be gone in school all day (unless they homeschool them). I thought about early retirement recently, but not sure what I would do to fill my day.
Can you reaaaaaaaally end it all without a full armoury shoot-out? Gather some of the buds, bring them out to the Ranch, have a full mag for each weapon, and it's just one after another after another? No talkies, just trigger fingers. Come onnnn. Man.... I really don't wanna see demo ranch go.... Matt you've been a part of my life for a decade now and a HUGE influence on the direction my life is going. I started watching you when I wasn't even 20 yet, and I can't remember which video it's gone, you inspired me to learn how firearms work, and not just how they work but how to be safe with anything that sends a pointy projectile anywhere. I was 22 when I built my first working gun (even though it was only basically a miniature potato cannon on steroids lol) and managed to measure a little foam ball leaving the barrel at 330fps. Had a couple... Unsafe.... Instances and almost lost the last segment of my middle finger ha but we don't talk about that. Now I've gotten to know local gunsmiths and I'm working to become one myself. I've saved up to buy tools and parts and badly want to design my own really high end rifle, and it's all thanks to you that I've had success in this endeavor. Much love Matt, hope you enjoy the life of a non-TH-camr.

About 4 years ago I was struggling and stumbling my way through life and I came across one of your videos. You ended it with some advice in trying to make yourself better just a bit each day. I don’t know why they resonated with me. It convinced me to go back to school and start working out. Here I am 4 years later graduating in may with a forensic psychology degree and looking to get into law enforcement, I’m also down 50 lbs since I started working out. There were some times I struggled but I tried to just do a little bit each day to make myself better. I just wanted to say thank you your videos helped me laugh through some dark times. We will all miss young I can say I wasn’t the one who told Mare.
Oh this hurts really bad… my first video I remember watching of yours was the “Which caliber can bust open a lock” from NINE years ago. I learned almost everything I know about guns from you and your videos. My grandpa was the only other gun collector in my family and he has since passed and I have nobody else to talk to about it. Watching these videos is like getting to talk to him for a bit. You are the king of this TH-cam genre and I’m so sad to see you go…

I can’t watch anymore of your videos, Matt. It breaks my heart. I’m 72 years old and I’m homebound and was having a great time watching your videos. It reminds me of my youth, but now it just saddens me.
Exactly the same. I just skipped through, watched the end, and got sad. Didn't care about the video because I knew what was coming.
Same I have been at home with health issues for over a year and its always a highlight of the week seeing his videos. But I feel there has to be something else going on in his life to have caused him to end his time on youtube and his projects like the resort. I hope its not something really bad like health issue in his family because as a lot of us know bad health is worse thing that can happen to us.
Please don’t just end the channel! I’ve been watching the channels since the beginning. Let the crew run the channels with you making cameos occasionally. We all love Mikey, Jenna, the camera man and the rest of your crew, it would really suck to lose this TH-cam family.

Matt, I am so proud of you! You really are showing how intelligent by retiring now so you can see your children grow up. I did not have children until after I retired and had him when I was 56 years old. I'm now 64 and he is 8 years old and it is the best thing in the world waking up and sending him off to school and being here at home when he gets back from school. I am happy that I have the time to be with him while I'm retired. I'm retired Army (disabled) You are doing it when you are still young and I'm happy for you. I'll miss watching your videos but I don't give a shit! I'm happier knowing you are putting your family first before work and have already made a way to support them. I never would’ve thought that Matt retiring from TH-cam would make me this sad, I remember watching your channel since I was 14 (because that’s when I started learning English) , I’m 25 now, and it might sound dumb, but I just remember watching your channel on different stages of my life, having breakfast before going to school, in the middle of the night during summer vacations as a teenager, during working hours when I got my first job, and the list could get longer, but just realizing that’s gonna be over, makes me feel sad, like I know something’s gone be missing constantly.

When the channel stopped uploading it had like 3 milion subs ,now its 6.9 milion subs . After FpsRussia ,i found Matt ,Scott from Kentucky Ballistics and Brandon the Ak guy . Matt and Scott kinda filled the void FPSRussia left . Gonna miss Matt 😞

I have never commented on a video before, but I just wanted to say thanks for all the memories. I've been watching since the videos were "welcome to 50 cal Friday! Today, we're going to see how many (fill in the blank items) it takes to stop a 50 cal!" Matt you really let the rest of the world get to take a break from life a couple of times a week and make us feel like part of YOUR family. I've not seen any other TH-camr pull that off. Enjoy your time with family and take care of yourself! We will miss you!

Brings back memories of my dad back in the 70’s on Fourth of July, he’d drag out an old navy military flare launcher with old flares. Some times he’d have to take multiple attempts to get the launcher to fire the 1950’s area flares. Thanks for all you and your crew have given us over the years, you will be missed.
