This is common sense. An actual mirrorless camera has a large body, and every component of its hardware goes into making your picture quality as high as possible.

You mention it’s not a “true” 48mp sensor, but I thought there was mention that it only does 4 step down if you’re not shooting proRAW. Did I misunderstand? Mkbhd even showed a comparison shot of a 48mp photo vs a 12mp shot on the iPhone 14 pro on his recent video.

The iPhone on 48 mega pixels and on pro raw is insane, I’m going to Colombia in December and I can’t wait to take some dope ass pics without caring a bulky camera
The iPhone is great for regular, everyday photography, especially for still subjects, but when you go to more specific photography genres particularly wildlife and sports photography, that's when the dedicated camera, with its interchangeable lens and highly variable settings, comes into the picture (pun intended 😅)

No phone camera will replace even a cheap dslr, those who say it will are mistaken, or just have a different preference for their photos I guess

I shook my videos with a Canon R5, the one I used as a prop is a Cannon EOS RP.

We all know that it won’t replace a $10,000 camera. We know this because if it did, everyone would buy the new iPhone. But we can all agree that the iPhone camera is really good, and that a 48mp image under good lighting is good also.

@@itzikcohen2866 it’s annoying af , I have a 5d mark 4 I m currently trying to sell just because I take most of my photos with the iPhone 12 Pro Max and guess what… most of the time the shots are so good people think they were made with … a dslr 🙃 unless you wanna print your photos or crop in to peep at every pixel … the camera doesn’t make the picture, the man does.

Your iphone with 48mp digital zooming sensor is nowhere near the $10,000 camera which has optical image sensor. So yeah, for some ig pics, iphone is best, but if you talk about hardcore photography, there's no comparison at all..

Great quality, the iPhone 14 max will do wonders if the photographer has minimum talent and knowledge of post editing raw files.
