towing what? sure the track has good friction with the ground, but it still needs more weight on it. artillery maybe? but making the artillery piece itself mechanized is generally better. back then though a lot of artillery in stores was still originally designed for horses to pull them. a mechnical bull is much better for that though even if you're going for super cheap.(the kind of they still use in asia. it's like a motor with 1 pair of wheels and long handlebars, with wheels you can put rubbers on and take them off to leave an open wheel suitable for rice farming. that kind of things used to be more popular in the west too a long time ago. you can pull carriages and such with them.
How do you keep finding these weird bikes?! I know about the German Kettenkrad, but I've never seen this before! I'm actually surprised that it didn't weigh more, bearing in mind a modern Indian Roadmaster comes in at 412kg!
