I recommend you guys done the job before visit China cuz your phone number probably not able receive SMS code in China. Try to open both WeChat Pay and Alipay.

So now it does not let me complete transaction anymore unless I add a Chinese card. I am in process of getting my passport done next week. My question is: will Wechat let me use my Visa card in transactions again once I add my passport for verification?
Try to pay something on Wechat, and then it'll pop up. Or ask someone to send a transaction for testing. It will lead you to that before you pay or receive money

Which country you drop shipping to? I offer drop shipping service as well. As for can you pay on China eCommerce platform, there's no guarantee. If you pay for merchant directly without via eCommerce platform. You or your merchant account probably will be limited or locked sometimes. Hard to say yes or no, I recommend you use it for a while to test it.
