Magick has been abused for centuries.
You may think it's been hidden but it's always been about.
We need to grow spiritually so that we know not to misuae this because there is the 3 fold law. Whatever you give out comes back 3 times stronger and if magick is misused the law of return can be very destructuve and damaging.
