One thing you don't get from watching the show on TH-cam is the full effect of the 2 large flamethrowers. When those things fire, the radiant heat off those things is crazy intense. It feels hotter than standing in sunlight on a hot summer day at noon. Literally causes a mild burning sensation on the skin and it is amazing. One thing you gladly miss is the 30 minute wait to exit the park after the show.

I was at there when this happened! I was on the tower of terror and just as we hit the top where the window is we could see fireworks. It felt like one of those disney world commercials.
I like Luke's hands turning on the light sabre at the end, fabulous! I also enjoyed watching Han and Leia.
great use of video mapping, lasers, and moving lights, complimented the fireworks perfectly
The heat off those flamethrowers is pretty intense.
I love how Rey’s theme song comes on it sounds so mysterious and epic
When the fireworks started, I was at the top of the Tower of Terror and we could see the fireworks almost right in front of us. It felt like you could almost reach out and touch them. It felt like I was in a Disney World commercial.

I grew up on Star Wars (there are videos of me as a four year old watching the special edition versions on VHS of the original trilogy with my stuffed animals). I love this so much-the moment between Leia and Han before he is frozen in carbonate ('I love you' 'I know') in this made my heart skip a beat. Thank you so much for this video.
I was there a few weeks ago on a school trip and loved the show. me and my friend Peter managed to get an awesome view. we were standing right near those palm trees in front of the theater. I enjoyed this show even more than the fireworks at Epcot.

In March 2020, I had just gotten to Orlando the day everything was canceled. We didn’t know if we would get to Hollywood studios the next day- Disney closed the park three days later. This was the show that played, and I remember crying so hard because I wasn’t sure what would happen next. Three years later I found this/ it’s truly the best show Disney has put on.
This is good, but experiencing it first hand was something else. I was at the park when they did the fireworks show. I've been to many firework shows in my life, but nothing, and I mean nothing, has topped this since.

We saw this show this summer and it was fantastic! My husband, who is not a big Star Wars fan (I know, right?!) enjoyed the show.

Im wondering the same thing. Fantasmic is fantastic as I've seen it a few times. From this video, this show doesn't look like it is a good. Curious to know from others that have seen both?

I was about to ride the slide at the boardwalk but all of a sudden lights next to the tot, and then fireworks! Eventually I stayed and watched them! They are big and loud fireworks!

Wesley's World I worked on the construction side of this project. I worked with the entertainment technical directors to build what they needed to make the show work. Like the speaker towers and the projection towers. Also had to build all of the holding areas for the fire effects. A lot goes into making a show like this.
Pender, Party of 2! I remember when the built the projection and sound towers. The Dolby 7:1 sound is so awesome!!
I hope these are extended into December when we are visiting!
***** It was originally billed as a "Summer" show, nightly, then it was only in select days. Currently there are no times for the show past August and the accompanying dessert party doesn't show past July. Have you seen something else that show's it continuing past the summer? Thanks

Hi there so I work at Hollywood Studios and it is possible to make both but it is tricky. You need to be able to get out of the fantastic stadium fast to avoid the giant crowd slowing you down so if you can get a seat in the last few rows or even get one of the seats behind the walkway and leave the second fantastic is over you can make it to the front of the Chinese theatre in time
I don’t think they do the shell fireworks anymore :(

Nightly at 945 until further notice as of now. WE were there on June 26 and it is awesome!

+brian kitching It is in the dessert party area. One of the few places that doesn't get blocked by trees. Just a bit of scaffolding from the stage show.
We had a park employee-Ryan-from the planet of Kashyyk (but works in The Launch Bay) told us to get between the blue tower and the lamp post in front of the stage area. When you are there you will see a blue tower and a yellow tower and know what I'm talking about. He was spot on! Looks very similar and close to where this was taken but is open to anyone. Ge there early-Skip Fantasmic.
I just went to see this a couple of days ago, and they got rid of like 80% of the fireworks... does anyone know why?

Really liked the show, but it kinda sucks the fireworks aren't directly behind the Chinese theater like in Symphony in the Stars. Was that a creative decision?
Edgardo J. Caraballo I think it was because of construction for the new lands so once those are done it will be to normal. Don't count me on this though.

Why are there no more fireworks with this show these days. How disappointing.
I still prefer the previous fireworks show, as I don't need to be reminded the Prequels exist, especially in visual form. BUT, the one thing this show gets right that I was disappointed the prior one didn't was Han and Leia.
Seriously, this one is bad compared to the old one. I'm shocked. It went from being the best firework show I have ever seen, to just another show.
Yeah, the more I see it, the more I appreciate the old one. You already have the visuals of the pyrotechnics....the music adds a beautiful layer, and the voiceovers add an even nicer subtle layer. This just feels like cotton candy on top of ice cream on top of peanut butter fudge. Just too much.
It does surprise me that they included the prequels as much as they did, since Lucasfilm seems to have made it clear that they are avoiding as much of the prequels as possible, not wanting to acknowledge them at all, ever. Since SW is Disney's now, they have full allowance to just keep the good stuff and get rid of the rest, so it surprises me they haven't exercised that option. (ie: shirts that have Hayden Christenson's force ghost and not Sebastian Shaw's)
Bob B well another thing is a majority of the Firework launchers were in the areas under construction so the fireworks weren't gonna be as good, but the projections and lighting effects are top notch

Wow this is horrible. I saw the one a few weeks before this, back in May 2016, and it was nothing but fireworks and more fireworks. It was simply the most amazing firework show I have ever seen. It matched perfectly with the score of the movies. What the heck did they do?? This is more like lazars and screens of the movie. Guys, go youtube the one that was before this. It was 10 times better and makes this firework show look like childs play. Symphony in the stars is what it is called. I am so glad I got to see the one before this. Now I am going to be disappointed when I go back to Disney

I agree. I attended the previous "Symphony in the Stars" and it was MUCH better. You're right... it does look like they're trying to save money on fireworks.
I'm going to see it tomorrow night, but "Symphony in the Stars" was downright incredible. Pretty hard to beat in any case.
I'm a huge Star Wars fan, but this show was a disappointment. the Frozen fireworks were absolutely perfect! Was really looking forward to this Star Wars show to be awesome too, but sadly, it wasn't at all😢

Glad they fucked up the music. They played the Asteroid Belt Theme during the Rey and Finn escape in the Falcon. Nice going Disney.
