That is amazing how it warmed up “so much” for you! Our coldest here isn’t even as cold as your warmest 😮

Would solar hot water system be an option? Sure a nice shop... congratulations

      Thank you.
Possibly. I didn't really set it up for any solar hot water though. Lots more research would be required for that. Another more extreme thought I have had in the past is a geothermal setup.
I honestly think I'm pretty close to being done/happy. Just gotta put that last piece in that is the mini split.
You got a shop project going on?

What are you using for heat where you are at?

@@diymetalfabrication Radiant heat. Keeps the floor dry.

Where are you located and do you run under slab insulation?
I'm always curious about how other places do things.

@@diymetalfabrication I'm in N Europe. Not too cold here, but also important to keep the relative humidity below 50% to avoid everything rusting. Easiest with slightly elevated temperature.
Next time you build, look into insulated steel panels? They are way better and cheaper than your style. Look into panelsell CA?

That is awesome. I didn't even know they made prebuilt insulated panels like that. Looks like it needs a steel structure underneath though.
Here in the Midwest USA it is typically either a 'pole barn' with treated wood posts sunk 3ft in the ground or full blown steel frame building which is typically way more expensive. All the steel buildings I have seen here are still steel sheeting on purlins with insulation installed separately on the inside, I haven't seen any with insulated panels. Seems like the European style would be a lot less labor intensive.
      Cheers 🍻

Less than 24 hours later it was 35* and sunny today. I felt like I could go outside in a t-shirt after the weather we had the last 2 weeks! 🙃
