My mom was raised in a single parent home. My grandfather has 11+ kids with different women. I barely know him, he's 78 in Jamaica. Lust is a stronghold over both my parent's bloodlines.
My father had a rough relationship with his father. There's alot of dysfunction I'm working with here, and fortunately both my parents are christian (Dad is a backslider, but he's humbling himself before the Lord more frequently).
I'm 30 and single with no kids. I too struggle with lust and I'm just asking for prayer!

Lord knows I am exhausted. I thank Him for releasing me from that relationship, but all those years really wore me out. It is actually easier as a single mother than it was in the relationship which makes me all the more weary of anything in the future.

Stop running from fights because your generation after you will have to deal with your combats.
If you keep running away from fights, a generation after you will have to deal with unfinished combat. This is not a typical war, this is an inherited war. Spirits hover over bloodlines. But there is always a blood line breaker. I am breaking this cycle!

This message hit so real. I was so exhausted with my ex-husband and his lack of tenderness, generosity, and help. He said one thing that literally triggered the thought that he would “never” change. I knew it was a spiritual attack however i was so tired that i stopped listening to GOD. I knew his power and it was just another reset moment. We couldn’t stop the bleeding together. We never recovered. We ultimately divorced.
Today, we are distant friends. I am also joyful, healed, a lot more wise and discerning. I know i will not neglect GOD’S word and his power.

That part about having weary faith and single mothers being tired...I felt that. I have to be honest and say as a single mother who's never been married, I'm starting to wonder if marriage is in God's will for me. I am definitely breaking cycles in my family though and training my son in the Lord. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Marriage isn't what it is all cracked up to be. I am married to my son's father. But it haven't been blissful. Because he was not the one intended me to be with. I'm grateful that my child was not conceived outside of marriage, but my husband is not the one for me. It is better to wait, and be with the one that God created you to be with. Then to simply be married.

I think at this point its moreso me fixing my mind to the possibility that it may not be in God's will for me and learning to be content with the idea of never getting married. But ultimately if it is in God's will I only want the man God has for me. I've had too many messed up relationships in the past to even play with fire.
