LeeLee, you can take that copper line to a metal recycle. It will cover the cost of your labor. Copper is trading for $4.43 an once. I would try that before I throw it away.
I thought I remembered you changing these air lines a couple years ago gotta keep that electrical cord off that cat walk. But don't feel bad about freightliner I ordered a radiator for my FLD for $1,900 and it didn't even have a tank on either side I left it with them. But you did right always put thread tape on air line threads and coolant pipe threads just don't ever use thread tape on anything internally such as inside your engine ECT

Those worn spots usually happen from rubbing up against the catwalk or something on the truck. I replaced mine last month for that same reason. Had a worn spot on a break line too. And like someone else mentioned, I got my new one from the truck stop and I gave two hundred and change for it.
