I would really like a demonstration of how to use another app on the M1. I’ve tried it and it’s not a smooth process. It double records and I can’t see the app I’m working with inside the scene with the template showing. I imagine I’m doing something wrong for sure. Probably missing a step 🤷🏽♂️
On one secene I set up the primary source as an external camera (mirrorless camera connected to a capture card) and on another scene I set up the primary source to be my iPad camera. That way I can switch between both scenes and get two different camera angles while livestreaming. The only thing that is missing for me in this use case are transitions. Otherwise, the scene switching is quite rough.

This is really great! Finally, something to do with my IPad pro other than reading Kindle books! ;-) I really need access to camera settings like color balance, exposure, iso contrast... there is currently no way to adjust the Insta360 Link settings within the app or even within the iPad Pro itself. No app for that either. Logitech C920 worked but no settings. Elgato FaceCam... would not work at all. its very confusing coming from XSplit Broadcaster or OBS on windows to this and having no place to save my configuration... will I loose my camera setup if I close the app? How do I save? can I drag my scenes to different order for easy and logical use? Great start! Privacy Mode should just be background blur... consistent with the rest of the world. Filters... can we add custom LUT's?

I've logged your feature request for the ability to rearrange scenes using drag and drop, currently you can save scenes into collections for better organization. Camo automatically saves the last used settings for your stream, but you can also save them in your profile settings. You can add custom LUTs from the filter menu (there is an option to upload a file). The App view has been fixed. I’ve enjoyed this feature. However, there appears to be an audio issue overall. I’ve tried my blue yeti and my Shure M7 and they both are distorted. No issues with the iPad microphone though. 🤷🏽♂️

We can absolutely look into a video on that! In the meantime, right now you need to be using a non-Intel based iPad and select the primary video's type to "apps on this iPad"
This is all fantastic. However, there’s one missing piece for me and that’s a way to record isolated recordings for any fixes in post. I currently use a Black Magic Atem switcher but if you can manage this request I’d happily pay for that feature on iPad.

Absolutely. So that you could take the recordings as isolated files and put them into Final Cut or DaVinci Resolve should you need to clean up any accidental scene cuts etc. Thank you soo much for the hard work. My mind is blown that you'd offer this for free. I'd happily pay a one time IAP for Isolated recordings. ❤@@reincubate
Serious latency issues when using it to record making music. My cpu spikes and everything stutters and I have an M2 ipadpro with the latest updates. Using it to record gaming gets a little latency as well. So unless I’m doing something wrong it isn’t efficient for those types of filming.

Not sure if this is intentional but in Camo Studio when I start with a different scene and go to another scene with the show apps on screen block it dosn’t show the block when it is their so I would have to record two separate parts one for when one scene and 2 for the other scene so it wouldn’t even work for streaming

Thanks for this question! Right now, you can pre-mix game & mic input using an audio interface. You can select the audio interface as your audio input, after it's plugged into the iPad. I got game and mic audio to work using a Scarlet 2i2 focusrite interface!

Hi there! in the latest update, the circle is no longer there by default! From the layers tab, you can remove the border from a video element, or delete a shape from your scene - so go grab our latest update from the app store ;)

How can I add multiple browser sources to the same scene? And/or is there a away to merge multiple sources into just one source to make it easier on the ipad? I use multiple services, for sounds, clips, shoutout clips, alerts. I basically wanted to try and convert my OBS scenes into the app. Is there a way? This app looks really interesting, and I'm hopeful it will allow me to improve my streams. Thanks for the help.
HI! the most recent update to the ipad app allows you to add more than one web overlay to a scene at a time. Regarding the merging of multiple sources, this is a good idea, I'll add it to our feature request doc for you!
@@reincubate Speaking as someone who has always streamed from a laptop, I'm limited to the games I can stream, because if the game is too demanding, then the laptop can't handle both the game and OBS, so this app is something that I was looking forward without realizing. I also know that multiple browser sources can be more demanding on OBS, I would assume (and correct me if I'm wrong) also on this app. So if there was a way to merge various browser sources, especially sources like sound bits and clips/shoutout clips, that are basically invisible, or only visible when triggered, should ease the load on the app. Looking forward to using the app. And thank you for the quick reply.
@@reincubate Another quick question, since I never streamed using a different device than the one I'm playing on. Does the sound of the game capture goes into the iPad, without delay? As in, do I just need to have my headphones connected to the iPad? Or would I need to use something else to both hear the game, and the stream triggers, like TTS, for example?
@@pedroneves1057 You'll want to connect your headphones to the iPad to get both the in-game audio and stream alerts. There shouldn't be a delay unless you are using wireless headphones. Hope that helps!
@@reincubate I'm trying to recreate my scenes, and I'm running into two issues. One, I was trying to add an overlay from streamelements, and the image is bigger than the display on the scene, I try to resize, but can't. Maybe I'm doing it wrong (which is likely). Second issue is, I'm adding browser sources that add sounds to my stream. But there's no way to adjust the volume of the source (or at least I'm not seeing where). If it's not already implemented, it really should, because sometimes the source could have a very high or low sound, and being able to adjust makes all the difference. Hey there! Camo Studio for iPad is more focused on recording and streaming, as you can just use the built in webcam natively on the Zoom app on your iPad.

hye, i’ve just tried youtube live stream with the app using my dslr as the camera. surprisingly the delay from transmission until it’s broadcasting is about 25sec. my internet connection is ok as there’s no delay when i stream direct using youtube app. anything i can do to overcome this? thanks

Hi Bill! Our streaming features are currently only available on Camo Studio for iPad, but many of our camera adjustments features are available on macOS. We hope to bring some of our iPad features to macOS soon!
Currently there's iPadOS limitations that don't allow multiple audio sources to be selected, but you can pre-mix game & mic input using an audio interface; and You can then select the audio interface as your audio input, after it's plugged into the iPad. we hope there will be updates to future versions of iPadOS that allow more than one audio input to be selected at a time!

@@reincubate so I use to use the sports cam app to do live scoring. They have an option to share a link via email to the another device so that u may change the score, so u don’t have to stand behind your streaming device (iPad/iPhone) to manually change it. I do this with my wife when I have to step away and she can change the score. It’s not a big deal but would be pretty kool 😁. I love the simplicity of camoapp and having the options of adding external cameras with ease. I’ll be live streaming my daughter’s volleyball game this week using the Camoapp. Let’s Goo Kako’o. which ipad model do you have? some older models are able to download and run Camo Studio for ipad, but aren't powerful enough to support the features.

You can! You'll just need a USB hub to plug both of them into and then plug the USB hub into the iPad

You can add the chat in a scene by using Web overlays configured to show the chat! In the scenes panel, hit the + sign to add one :)
