I have to say I appreciate that your low effort recipes are actually low effort. I see so many “easy” recipes nowadays that are not really easy. Thank you!
My god I was just thinking "I'd really like to have a new video from Mina Rome to watch right now" and there you are!!! Thaank you, my hot chocolate moment is now ten times better.
My go to meal is tahini pasta. You mix tahini, tomato puree and yoghurt in equal parts together and season it as you like. You also need a little bit of the pasta water and lemon juice. Bon Appetit 😊
This looks all so yummy and lowkey. Coudl you maybe make a video of a typical shopping day for you? I am so curious what your go to/staple products are.
My go to are these black bean tacos. It's very simple and quick: Put oil, onion, garlic, 1 tin of rinsed black beans, 1/4 cup broth and (taco) seasoning in a pan and heat up until the liquid is gone. Then mash it al up, add some veg of choice (I love corn and paprika). Put the mixture on a wrap or tortilla with some vegan cheese and put into the oven on 200 until golden brown. I love making a sauce on the side with avocado, vegan yoghurt, cilantro and lemon juice.
Yummy 😋 quick, vegan and budget friendly lazy meals for when you can't be bothered to cook. Thanks 👍 Mina for sharing because I go through periods I don't want to cook. Love 🥰 the video and love ❤Mina.
Oh, so perfect! It's a cold rainy day where I am, and this is the perfect way to get cozy and decide on something yummy and easy for dinner. Thank you, Mina! xoxo
Thank you Mina! I need to make lunch myself everyday but of course I’m always starving when I get home from school, so these recipes are perrrfect! ❤ I will definitely try the pancakes.
My go-to meal when I don't want to cook is not the healthiest lol but it is tasty! It's usually just rice with kbbq sauce, sriracha, sesame oil, sesame seeds and topped with some vegan nuggets that I cut up. Sometimes I add a fried egg on top and sometimes I add kimchi or marinated cucumbers (like the ones popular on tiktok right now). I love your videos btw!! Always so calming and I get so many good ideas from you 😊💖
This couldn’t have come at a better time❤current go to is definitely anything kimchi - friend rice with whatevers left in the fridge, kimchi&vegan cheese toast etc.
My go to easy and lazy meal is a quick lentil dahl with spinach and cherry tomatoes that practically cooks by itself. You just have to rinse and throw in a pan some red lentils, chopped cherry tomatoes and frozen spinach, then add some water to cover up the ingredients and throw a vegetable stock cube and garam masala in the pan. Cover the pan and let it cook at medium/low heat for 20/25 minutes, maybe stirring every 10 minutes. That’s it: easy and unbelievably delicious ❤️ Love your videos! A fan from Italy 🇮🇹
Lately I’ve been making a zucchini spinach avocado tahini toast! lol I sautée the zucchini first ( I cut it up rlly thin or shred it with a potato peeler) with some onions then add salt and pepper, tomato paste, smoked paprika, Cajun seasoning, then throw in the spinach and add a little water, tahini and lots of lemon juice :) I put it on some toast with some vegan cream cheese and mashed avocado and top it with sesame seeds at the end , it’s so good 😋
I have been cooking the hummus pasta dish for a while now.. It's very lovely. And when I feel in need of more protein I simply switch the pasta for a lentil or chickpea pasta. I love Korean tuna over rice so I'm certainly going to try your version and I had to revind to check if you are really watching Cari's book channel. 🙂
Great ideas! If it has to be really low effort for me, it's instant noodle soup. I fry some veggies and tofu first an then put in water, the spice packets and the noodles. Maybe adding some herbs and peanut butter/tahina, depending on the mood and which noodles I get. My favourite are kimchi flavoured :)
I've been looooving this high fiber easy lunch that's basically a savory oat bowl! Steel cut oats cooked on the stove, kale added in during the last few minutes, topped with an egg or two (I like a soft boiled), kimchi, avocado, and finish with hot sauce. I cannot stop making it every day
These look all so good! I'll definetly try the pancakes and the lazy pasta! Also nice touch using Sonnentor "No salt" spice mix and adding salt afterwards 😂
my current obsession: Cook soba noodles with frozen veggies or anything from the fridge that needs to go, maybe throw in some veggies later (carrots and brokkoli before spinach and bell peppers). Add frozen edamame at the end. In a bowl, combine cooking water, gochujang, peanut butter and soy sauce. Pour sauce over noodles and veggies and mix. Dig in.
nice recipes! my go to when i dont feel like cooking is asking my mom to cook haha... but if she cant then some easy pasta or potatoes loaded with some salade and veggies and a yoghurt sauce made from greek yoghurt, corn, pickles and some seasoning. really easy and goooooood of just a pre maid dinner from the freezer or store
Very nice video ideas I will definitely try out the instant noodle salad! My mother used to make a salad with cabbage and crushed up instant noodles and she would use the seasonings in the package for dressing with some oil together. My go to is shredded smoked tofu in pita bread with some salad and a yogurt sauce!
I have two lazyish recipes that are my go-to's. One is a pasta dish where I add stock or water to tomato paste to make a pasta sauce, add seasonings and whatever veggies I have on hand and then use the sauce to simmer Ikea meatballs until they're hot and then add cooked pasta. My other go-to is using frozen nuggets and tossing them in a homemade (vegan/paleo) buffalo sauce I make and then building a sandwich with lettuce and tomato on toast with more sauce. both are so easy and tasty
I really like to make cozy vegetable soups but my current favorite is broccoli cheddar. So I just use frozen broccoli and throw it in the blender (I have a high powered one, just let it sit out and unfreeze if you don't) and I throw that into the pot with some vegetable broth, bouillon, whatever I have and water. I boil that, add some salt, garlic powder, onion powder, then once it's boiling, turn it down to simmer and throw in some vegan cheddar. To thicken it I add my secret ingredient - instant mashed potato flakes. It thickens up the soup and it is creamy and cheesy and delicious. You can add pepper flakes and stuff to it after if you want for some spice kick but it's not super necessary if you have good broth. Also just so you know, I have been making your tofu with a little flour on the stovetop pretty much nonstop and I love it!! It makes it so easy and convenient to throw into anything or add to sauces or dishes later. Such an easy, simple way to have tofu without needing an air fryer and it works on non-soy tofu too! My mom has a soy allergy so I've made it with soy and non-soy. Love it so much, thanks!
Cashew “cream” of tomato soup with saukraut and cheeze grilled “cheese” a classic American meal for this classic American (who’s married to a stunning vegan 💚) grill the sandwich either vegan mayo on the outside of the bread to give it a nice browning on a non stick pan. So good!
I have a long list of lazy meal options! Here's my favourite: Serve slices of silken tofu on the side of jasmin rice, edamame beans (just seep them in boiled water a few mins) and drench it all in a simple homemade chili oil. I make mine by dry-frying chili flakes and sesame seeds, then adding sesame oil, rice wine vinegar, soy sauce and a little sugar. Pour the hot oil over some chopped green onions and freshly ground garlic.
My go-to quick meal is pineapple curry fried rice: -leftover rice -garlic -shallots or onion -other leftover vegetables (I usually use peas and carrots) -crumbled tofu (or cook chunks in advance and add the tofu with a vegan scrambled ‘egg’) -pineapple chunks -oil (I use peanut oil) -rice vinegar -soy sauce -msg or salt -sesame oil (not for frying) -curry powder -turmeric powder -black pepper -additional salt if needed All stir fried in a wok or large skillet
My go to lazy meal is gochujang pasta. Fry onion, garlic and gochujang paste, add soysauce, pasta water and vegan cream (and lemon juice if you like). Add pasta and some vegan parmesan. Could eat that every day 😊
I love blending cooked veggies (often I roast them in the oven) into a thin broth, and then cooking a small pasta (like orzo, or pearled couscous, or something like that) in it, so that I have something super comforting but still kinda nutritious.
My go-to when I'm lazy is stir fried tofu with onions and green peppers, and a sauce consisting of the same amount of soy sauce as sugar of choice (adjustable to taste); that with some added white or black pepper, sesame oil and sesame seeds is delish, especially on rice but also as wrap fillings!
My go to meal when I just don't want to cook is equal amounts of cut up tomatoes (I prefer cherry or grape but any will work), cut up cucumber and avocado. I add italian or vinaigrette dressing, salt, pepper and everything bagel seasoning to taste. Toss and enjoy. You could add thinly sliced red onion and/or feta cheese to this as well.
My go to lazy began lunch is this italian dish called agile e olio. Literally just minced garlic cooked with some oil and pasta. I add some chili peppers but when made well it's sooo good. (just don't burn the garlic lol)

My go to meal is angel hair pasta with vegan alfredo, vegan bacon bits, and steamed broccoli
Thanks, such good meal ideas! 😍 one of my go to’s has been the same for years, its like a taco-sallad, I’ll roast some cubed sweet potato, add some kind of mince at the end just so it gets heated through, taco seasoning and serve with diced cucumber, tomato, spinach, banana (hear me out, the sweetnes is delicious here!🙈) some yoghurt/creme fraiche, salsa and tortillas or nachos. Its pretty good! Just had it tonight😁
my go to meal lately is a variation of an instagram recipe i saw and i lost the video so the recipe always changes but it basically consists of any kind of protein stir fried with spinach, tomato and some soy sauce and oyster sauce, i add rice into that and its so yummy
My favourite go-to easy meal is "cheesy" hummus pasta (Hummus, nootch, and lemon juice make a great simple sauce that is almost cheesy) with roasted tomatoes
My current fave lazy dinner is just some gf noodles. I boil those normally and while those boil I mix some cottage cheese and an egg on the side. Add some spices (salt, pepper, paprika, nutmeg, vegeta, curry and some chilli flakes) and some pasta water and mix. One the noodles are cooked I drain then, put them back in the pot, add the cottage cheese, egg mixture and stir. I‘ll add some cheese if I’m feeling fancy but that‘s basically it.
My current go to meal is also Korean! It is the street sandwich with egg, cabbage and carrot on toasted bread, ketchup and sugar...yes ketchup and sugar-I thought nahhh, until I tried it. So delish-you could probably use chick pea batter for the egg.😋😊
All of it looks delicous! My favourite quick meal: cooked rice noodles with a bit of gochujang + vegan majo or peanut butter + some soy sauce or a bit of miso. Depending on the weather, mood and what my fridge looks like I either add fresh veggies and eat it as a salad or I quickly cook some veggies in a pot or the microwave, add them with the cooking water and eat it as a soup. In either case I usually also add some sort of tofu, tempeh or at least edamame for some protein. (Both go super well with some added kimchi as well.)
My go to easy meal is jasmine rice and tofu-cooked in the instant pot. Topped with raw red cabbage, tomatoes, cucumber, and avocado. Dressed with soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar and everything bagel seasoning. 10 min meal.
Stir fry with just... dried mushrooms I rehydrate and then fry in a pan and then add pasta to it. And some spices. If I feel fancy I add Onions and Garlic
For the quickest indian inspired curry, I just used store bought tomato pasta sauce, coconut milk, and a bunch of dried spices. Then just add whatever legume you want. Chickpea, lentils, butter beans, or even just some tvp or something. Then I just eat that over rice every day until it's gone. I also add a dash of sweetener to balance the bitterness from the spices. The other thing I do is just make a small pot of rice in the morning most days, because even if I don't have any curry, I can just eat rice with soy sauce and chili crisps on top lol it's not a meal, but it stops you from being hungry.
my go to this days would be a kongguksu inspired cold noodle soup : i swap wheat noodles for soba. for the broth : i mix some tofu with soy milk, salt nd pepper, little bit of agave, garlic, a few spoons of tahini or pb and ice (optional) ive added some cooked beetroot to the mix aswell, beautiful pink color. you could also make it creamier instead of a broth by skipping the milk or adding just a little. broth + noodles + whtvre raw veggies to top (carrots, cherry tomatoes, apples, cucumber etc) + sesame seeds. really satisfying and filling, takes 5 minutes to make.
Whenever I feel lazy to cook I just make a wrap with whatever is in my fridge 😭 My absolute favourite is a buffalo chickpeas with cilantro, tomato, avocado and lettuce 😋
I have been on a quest to make great vegan sandwiches, so experimenting with toppings of whatever I have on hand is my go-to meal when I don't feel like cooking. I don't have any particular recipes though.
some quick meals/snacks i make in case theyre of help to someone (i'm not vegan so if you are substitute the protein for a vegan option or just don't add it): tomato spinach pasta: boil the pasta, then on a pan add 1-2 cloves of garlic (i chop mine really thin but i think crushed could go well too), then a couple of peeled tomatoes (don't know how to explain this lol but at least where i live they sell tomatoes peeled or crushed in a can so no prep needed), stir that for a bit, then throw in some spinach. if i feel like it i'll add chicken, just cook it in the pan before adding in the garlic and tomato microwave poached eggs: so i recently found out you can poach eggs in a microwave and have been obsessed ever since. you just crack your eggs onto a bowl with water and pop it into the microwave for 2-3 minutes. Serve it over toast and it's the same thing as when you make them in a pot, just much less time-consuming apple pie oats: cut up an apple and add some brown sugar and cinnamon to it. toss it a little to make sure it's covered and then pop it in the microwave for a minute (just so it softens). on a bowl add oats, vanilla extract, cinnamon and your milk of choice, stirr it a bit, then add the apple on top and pop it into the microwave for another minute. i'll be honest i don't think i've ever had apple pie as it's not common where i'm from but this tastes really good lol
I speed up my cooking by marinating tofu and Tempe and freezing them in ready portions. Cooking is pulling that out of the freezer, adding vegetables and perhaps a grain. ( And usually something out of my collection of fermented condiments)
Have been watching Mina’s videos for years and never imagined Nepali Chatpate would be featured. 😮😮 That’s crazy. Also, I’d say Chatpate tastes best with the noodle mentioned in the original video cuz that noodle (Wai Wai) is already fried unlike other noodles. Chatpate is the most popular food I’d say after momo.
microwave miso soup: i use different combinations of ingredients based on what i have but it’s usually a mix of quick cook/no cook things and frozen things, e.g. - tofu - spinach - frozen edamame - frozen corn - frozen dumplings - peanuts - chili crisp - green onions add everything that needs to be cooked/warmed to a bowl with water and microwave that until hot/cooked. add in any cold toppings/ingredients. stir in miso paste (dilute with hot water first) and soy sauce to taste.
Not the most original, but my current go-to is spicy instant ramen with broccoli, spring onion and tofu/frozen edamame added in. Sometimes I mix some tahini or smooth peanut butter in with the sauce/soup. Very quick and tasty
I know this is completely unrelated but I'd love to see you make this. A Dulce de leche tart. You bake the crust then pipe in Dulce de Leche into it.. Add some sugar and blowtorch to make a brulee, then add some dulce/caramel ice cream and roasted pecans on top. And you can make a larger cheesecake version, with cheesecake filing, and the same toppings. dunno i just had a craving lol
My lazy meal is just pasta 😂 But I always try to add something that’s in the fridge like yellow peppers or some zucchini so not very inspirational 😂 Love your videos ✨
I actually had my "no cooking" meal today: roasted chickpeas, carrots and corn (glassed/canned except for the carrots), Feta cheese crumbles, spinach, soychunls (cooked, mixed with flour and spices and afterwards pan fried) and garlic joghurt sauce. Its so awesome. I´m personally not vegan, but I guess this food can be very easily made vegan, especially cause the Feta isnt needed and u can use soy joghurt,
Go to meal that is done in less than 15 min, soy sauce with peanut butter, broccoli and pasta, or even quicker, storebought pesto rosso, just cook the pasta and done in 10 min. In our house we ear that once a week 😁
so yummy colourful foods ,when i dont feel cooking i dont want to eat much as well i prefer toast bread avocado with egg or oatmeal ebven then also will keep u fuller as fiber content ,or hummus with pepper ;0
When I don't want to cook I toss drained chickpeas through Italian herb mix, then add it to a bowl of hot rice with a teaspoon of melted vegan butter. Optional extras include steamed frozen veg or Sriracha mayo. It's stupid how good it tastes when it's so basic.
That sounds great! Have to try it!
Only thing that helped me is book called Plate of Health by Ethan Parker

This looks all so yummy and lowkey. Coudl you maybe make a video of a typical shopping day for you? I am so curious what your go to/staple products are.
My shopping is pretty irregular since I constantly test and try out new recipes, but i could def go through my staples good idea!!
This is the most relaxing setting/atmosphere/aesthetically pleasing video!! Perfect for my lazy Sunday!!
My go to are these black bean tacos. It's very simple and quick:
Put oil, onion, garlic, 1 tin of rinsed black beans, 1/4 cup broth and (taco) seasoning in a pan and heat up until the liquid is gone.
I've been wanting to use up three cans of black beans for ages, but didn't know what to make. This is perfect, thanks!

Looks amazing! My go to lazy cooking dinner ist Risi Bisi - Rice, Freezer-Peas and some kind of scrmbled egg-substitute :)

Cool!! 👍🏻👍🏻 I Love these ideas, *especially* the pancakes.

My go to at the moment: salad / baby spinach with roasted sweet potato / chickpeas / veggies combined with a a tahini dressing. So simple, so good!
Richtig früh heute ☺️ ich mache momentan gerne einen Maultaschen -Auflauf :)
Wusste gar nicht dass das ein Ding ist haha klingt interesting
I really like to make cozy vegetable soups but my current favorite is broccoli cheddar. Cashew “cream” of tomato soup with saukraut and cheeze grilled “cheese” a classic American meal for this classic American (who’s married to a stunning vegan 💚) grill the sandwich either vegan mayo on the outside of the bread to give it a nice browning on a non stick pan. So good!
Everything looooks soooo amazing 🤩 My go to is pasta

Yum, those look great! Lately, as life’s been incredibly busy, I just batch cook a big pot of soup for the week- for my dinners. So yummy!
My go-to quick meal is pineapple curry fried rice:

-additional salt if needed
All stir fried in a wok or large skillet
Perfect ideas, already into trying them :)
I spy Cari can read! I love her so much, glad to see you watch her too. She singlehandedly got me back into reading lol
My go to lazy meal is gochujang pasta. Fry onion, garlic and gochujang paste, add soysauce, pasta water and vegan cream (and lemon juice if you like). Add pasta and some vegan parmesan. Could eat that every day 😊

brown rice pasta in tomato sauce with vegan meatballs - literarily the fastest dish i can prepare

I add italian or vinaigrette dressing, salt, pepper and everything bagel seasoning to taste. Toss and enjoy. You could add thinly sliced red onion and/or feta cheese to this as well.

The other thing I do is just make a small pot of rice in the morning most days, because even if I don't have any curry, I can just eat rice with soy sauce and chili crisps on top lol it's not a meal, but it stops you from being hungry.
my go to this days would be a kongguksu inspired cold noodle soup :
i swap wheat noodles for soba.
for the broth : i mix some tofu with soy milk, salt nd pepper, little bit of agave, garlic, a few spoons of tahini or pb and ice (optional)
ive added some cooked beetroot to the mix aswell, beautiful pink color. you could also make it creamier instead of a broth by skipping the milk or adding just a little.
broth + noodles + whtvre raw veggies to top (carrots, cherry tomatoes, apples, cucumber etc) + sesame seeds.
really satisfying and filling, takes 5 minutes to make.
When I'm lazy, I always cook Rice with vegan Tuna from edeka +. Mayo and some pan fried frozen green beans :)
I think the pancaked would be great with some nutritional yeast inside and Hummus on top ❤🎉
Thank you!!!! God send for students.
My go to recipe is make couscous, throw some left over veg in the panini grill with tofu and put that 9n top of the cous cous with some Sriracha mayo.
I wanna try the vegan tuna bowl 🤤
Whenever I feel lazy to cook I just make a wrap with whatever is in my fridge 😭
My absolute favourite is a buffalo chickpeas with cilantro, tomato, avocado and lettuce 😋
I have been on a quest to make great vegan sandwiches, so experimenting with toppings of whatever I have on hand is my go-to meal when I don't feel like cooking. I don't have any particular recipes though.
some quick meals/snacks i make in case theyre of help to someone (i'm not vegan so if you are substitute the protein for a vegan option or just don't add it):
tomato spinach pasta: boil the pasta, then on a pan add 1-2 cloves of garlic (i chop mine really thin but i think crushed could go well too), then a couple of peeled tomatoes (don't know how to explain this lol but at least where i live they sell tomatoes peeled or crushed in a can so no prep needed), stir that for a bit, then throw in some spinach. if i feel like it i'll add chicken, just cook it in the pan before adding in the garlic and tomato
microwave poached eggs: so i recently found out you can poach eggs in a microwave and have been obsessed ever since. you just crack your eggs onto a bowl with water and pop it into the microwave for 2-3 minutes. Serve it over toast and it's the same thing as when you make them in a pot, just much less time-consuming
apple pie oats: cut up an apple and add some brown sugar and cinnamon to it. toss it a little to make sure it's covered and then pop it in the microwave for a minute (just so it softens). on a bowl add oats, vanilla extract, cinnamon and your milk of choice, stirr it a bit, then add the apple on top and pop it into the microwave for another minute. i'll be honest i don't think i've ever had apple pie as it's not common where i'm from but this tastes really good lol
Thank you for these ideas!!!
My current go to meal is feesh
I speed up my cooking by marinating tofu and Tempe and freezing them in ready portions. Cooking is pulling that out of the freezer, adding vegetables and perhaps a grain. ( And usually something out of my collection of fermented condiments)
my (low effort) comfort food is heated Tortillas with vita creme fresh, Sambalolek and black beans.
Go to meal would probably be a wrap with whatever protein and veggies I have on hand + hummus or avocado.
This vídeo is so good
Have been watching Mina’s videos for years and never imagined Nepali Chatpate would be featured. 😮😮
That’s crazy.
Also, I’d say Chatpate tastes best with the noodle mentioned in the original video cuz that noodle (Wai Wai) is already fried unlike other noodles. Chatpate is the most popular food I’d say after momo.
Was that Troye Sivan at the beginning? 😍 I love your recipes!
microwave miso soup:
i use different combinations of ingredients based on what i have but it’s usually a mix of quick cook/no cook things and frozen things, e.g.
- tofu
- spinach
- frozen edamame
- frozen corn
- frozen dumplings
- peanuts
- chili crisp
- green onions
add everything that needs to be cooked/warmed to a bowl with water and microwave that until hot/cooked. add in any cold toppings/ingredients. stir in miso paste (dilute with hot water first) and soy sauce to taste.
Thanks for using my music! Very cool to be a part of your videos :))
My lazy dinner is cereal or oats with milk lmao
Stealing the gochujang + chickpeas combo though !
Thank you so much ❤
Those pancakes - stuffed with tofu scramble and veggies. Omg
My lazy meal is just pasta 😂
But I always try to add something that’s in the fridge like yellow peppers or some zucchini so not very inspirational 😂
Love your videos ✨
It's stupid how good it tastes when it's so basic.
no way meals can be that easy to make
