Prayers for those firefighters and the residents that's losing the apartments folks this world is on fire the fires are so massive everywhere it is really sad 5 children lost their lives in South bend Indiana still under investigation but they think it was a lithium battery.
I'm guessing this is either Sunnyside or Woodside? Ladder 140 is from Metropolitan Ave in Ridgewood.

Excellent vid, Nick! You always get the good angles and the unique shots (like the fire behind the smoke, from the neighboring roof). In that shot, it looked like the smoke was coming up from the roof of something else, while a major fire burned behind it. (At least to me and it was an amazing shot!)
That smoke looked particularly toxic - hope you have a mask!

Wow, how does it travel like that
The area under the roof and above the top floor ceiling is called the cockloft. Once fire gets into that area It spreads because it’s an open area filled with dry old wood. The height of the cockloft varies from a few inches to as many as 6’ depending on the bldg. The city should require a dry sprinkler pipe to be installed in that area that the fire dept can supply upon arrival. But that would make too much sense

It's all 1 building (H type.) You're looking at the wings, The common middle part of the "H" is blocked by the bulk heads
