I learned so much about diecast car collecting from your videos....I have a lot of Hot Wheels and Mattel...rmostly real makes and models...I hate the fantasy cars unless related to TV series and movies I love....I just bought a Greenlight Atlanta Police Ford Crown Victoria, a Auto World 66 Chevy Impala , and a Greenlight 71 Chevy Chevelle SS from the Supernatural TV series...beautiful cars...the quality is better...that pink 240Z is so hot....I love American muscle and JDM from the 70's to the 2000's...European models not so much but I have quite a few vintage Ferraris, some Mercedes Benzes, and a couple of Jaguars!
MY HUSBAND IS A COLLECTOR OF A LOT OF VARIOUS BRANDS TOO I'VE ENJOYED SEEING ALL THE WONDERFULL CARS OF UR COLLECTION. THANKS FOR SHARING THAT VERY NICE VIDEO.
Hey man just wanted to let you know I love what you do. you really know you're stuff and thanks to you I now collect 1_64 scale cars now instead of just 1_43 scale. Be Well Aaron.
Minichamps is a great German brand! They do a great job on 1:43rds. I like about all brands you've shown, but Jada, which really screws up big time. Their cars are completely out of scale and proportion! Thanks for the video! It was great!
Man you think like how I do. These cars are made overseas now, which yes it is unfortunate, because the few brands back in the day, being made in US were made exceptionally well, BUT most of these little diecast are still beautifully made to this day overseas or not. Good video !!!
Hi, thank you for this video. I started with collecting just Hot Wheels and Matchbox and then added a few Johnny Lightnings and then a few M2s . I recently saw an old Racing Champions from 1998 in a local food market for $2 and picked that up. It is a 1956 Chevy Nomad station wagon with Terry Labonte's Kellogg's #5 livery. I am thinking about getting some Green Lights but will need to get to Toys R Us as my local Walmart doesn't carry them. It was great to see the different brands available. I like the Japanese brands but really want to buy my diecast in a store as opposed to online.
Nice info about 1/64 diecast, sir.. I have that minichamps slr mc laren. Agree with you, its highly detailed, and the price i paid still under kyosho sls amg that i have too.
I'm L Skye of MotorFadd & I've gotta ask.....that beautiful datsun by Aoshima...what is it!...??? where to get it!...??? what search term do I use online 2 find that thing!!!!! 🤩 it's totally awesome stuff....help me out please.
Hi HeavyMetal One64! I have an existential question. On the M2 Machines Ford 4x4, did you put a '70 F-100 base from the Walmart Titanium Series on a Auto-Trucks R32 '69 F-250 ? It's a terrific result!
Do you remember a 1/64th scale line or company... where all their cars had the same rear bumper the red tail lights looked basically the same. I thought it might be called fast backs or something like that. Can’t figure it out.
I actually have a question for you, I have asked in a forum on the Hot Wheels Collectors web site and emailed Mattel but not received an answer. The Hot Wheels Vintage American Muscle 1971 Maverick Grabber is listed on Hot Wheels Wiki as being Spectraflame blue, does it really have Spectrafllame paint? It looks like it might, it really is a great color.
Without having that car tonexamin, I can't say for sure. What I can say though, is the supers have spectra flame paint and sometimes it's hard to tell.
Hi, I got a reply on a Hot Wheels Collectors forum and the paint is not Spectraflame, it is Metalflake Medium Blue Ransburg, a very cool color none the less.
Are all 1/64 cars really 1/64? I have heard that Johnny Lightning and Hot Wheels are not too careful about their scale. Is there a site where the scale is checked so you can be sure? Or don't most people care?
Do you have a Yatming 57 Chevy? I have 2 colour variants. Also, what about Zylmex, otherwise known as Zee Toys, Oh, and Kidco. The list goes on and on!
i hate my bp tanker truck is as big as my toyota corrola......what companies scale it correctly....blow the lid off this 1:64 sham being perpetrated on the public for years!!! : ))
zxccxz164 Brands like Hotwheels and Matchbox are made to be cheap and accessible. If you want scale accurate 1:64 models, TLV is the way to go. They have buses, trucks, vans etc.
The only brand currently making die-cast with suspension is Tomica. Some older brands like older matchbox, Konami, majorette, and a few others had it, but today, virtually no manufacturer does it. Tomica is the only brand that I know of.
The suspension is the axle wire, the harder the material used for the axles the easier it springs back. Some makers use spring steel, while other makers use mild steel. Which with mild steel the wheels get that bowed effect when pressing down to hard and won't spring back.
So many diecast companies out there...my poor wallet :) At where i live, we only get Hot Wheels, Matchbox, Welly and some Majorette and Jada stuff occasionaly. For everything else, i'd have to order online from Specialist stores in Europe, or from Ebay.I'd really like to get my hands on some cars from Tomica Limited Vintage, but the shipping costs plus custom fees make it prohibitive. So i settle for other brands like Johnny Lightning and Autoworld wich i can find for sensible prices.I feel Autoworld provides the best bang for your cash if you want to have some premium models in your collection.I like GreenLight castings as well.MiniChamps are great, but can't find anything in 1/64 scale.
I have a johnny lightning and an M2 buick gs. The lightning version is smaller then the M2 version. But i think i like the M2 better so gonna get rid of the lightning.
There's also Corgi, one of the biggest British brands back in the day but I don't think they ever had much of any American market penetration. I've found maybe a dozen or so at Value Village thrift stores in Canada. Going back further in time, there was Kenner's attempt at 1/64 diecast, Fast 111s (pronounced "Fast Ones"), where the gimmick was that each car had their own unique license plate number, although the downside of that was that the license plate sticker was put on a uniform bumper with painted taillights that looked out of place on nearly every car that wore it.
hi travis tom Lindenhurst long island i enjoy your knowledge on die cast long island sucks as far as walmart ng target sucks toys r us hit or miss anyway keep em comming iv been collecting for over 20 yrs and im a car guy .i saw my name on daves channel cool
Good information. Very helpful in choosing my next set of 1:64s. Thank you!

Hi HeavyMetal One64!
I have an existential question.
On the M2 Machines Ford 4x4, did you put a '70 F-100 base from the Walmart Titanium Series on a Auto-Trucks R32 '69 F-250 ?
It's a terrific result!
Yes, I used the titanium for some and the patriot series for the others.
It's great!! Nice result!! Thanks!!
can you race all the others on hot wheels tracks? or are only hot wheels/matchbox track worthy?
Do you remember a 1/64th scale line or company... where all their cars had the same rear bumper the red tail lights looked basically the same. I thought it might be called fast backs or something like that. Can’t figure it out.

Ok, thanks for replying, if I find out I'll let you know.

Ertl is still around but they mostly do farm machinery now
Are all 1/64 cars really 1/64? I have heard that Johnny Lightning and Hot Wheels are not too careful about their scale. Is there a site where the scale is checked so you can be sure? Or don't most people care?
Great illustration. Phil's Custom Wheels on You Tube gives you a thumbs up.
Great interesting vid,cheers
I love autoworld. Im really looking forward to more jdm and 🤞 for euro cars.
De que marca son esas piezas? Dónde puedo conseguirlas en ciudad de México? Están fabulosos!
when I was a kid, hot wheels, matchbox, Zylmex and Tomica.
Great video, I tried putting out a video and youtube said it was to long?? It was 20 min...do you know why?
Where did u get the drag mustang
Love it..have any mazda rx7..1. 2 or 3 generation..?
Just uploaded a Mazda video featuring 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gen RX7’s
Thanks..!
I have a China made 1st gen RX 7.
yatming still exists but mostly called road signiture and does 1:18 1:24 and 1:43 and also 1:64s i guess
No tarmac works?
Those are like 100 dollars
Great video bro.So my question is are the scales written on the cars?!
Pretty late but most have them on packages
Where do you get these?
Tarmac is another really good 1:64 diecast car maker.
5:43 this is premium tomica
Do you have a Yatming 57 Chevy? I have 2 colour variants. Also, what about Zylmex, otherwise known as Zee Toys, Oh, and Kidco. The list goes on and on!
👍👍👍💯
for the Toyota Supra car from which brand?
Tamiya
Nice video!! I love your channel by the way!!😁
Looking for the Mini Champs AMG Silver Arrow F 1 Really nice F1 Model
I like Jada models from the 2000s, stupid sets like Homie Rollerz and Box Bubble Donks. Homie Rollerz seems pretty stereotypical but I like it.
Man I need move to USA, in brazil its hard to find this models in stores, only internet. Very expensive too
nice vid. but u forgot 1 brand from hk -> tarmac workshop.
Killer collection you forgot about oversteer.... but cool castings man..
👍👍👍
how can they say 1:64 scale when matchbox fire engines is a big as std car or motor cycle (just one of thousands of examples)
1/64 is a generalization. Companies like matchbox go on the 3 inch rule of thumb. Premium brands put more of an emphasis on scale.
i hate my bp tanker truck is as big as my toyota corrola......what companies scale it correctly....blow the lid off this 1:64 sham being perpetrated on the public for years!!! : ))
Looking in the 1969 Matchbox catalogue only the Fiat 1500, SnowTrac Tractor and Field Car are actually 1:64 scale.
and Hot Wheels had the USS Enterprise in their mainline blisters....no way was that anything close to 1:64
zxccxz164 Brands like Hotwheels and Matchbox are made to be cheap and accessible. If you want scale accurate 1:64 models, TLV is the way to go. They have buses, trucks, vans etc.
I'm trying to join a diecast club are u in one?
I am a bit dissapointed 😅 I recently pre-ordered a 1/64 scale of a Toyota vellfire for 20 bucks. Oh well still like the look of the vellfire
I'd like to see your diorama in more detail.
Wich of these has suspensions?
The only brand currently making die-cast with suspension is Tomica. Some older brands like older matchbox, Konami, majorette, and a few others had it, but today, virtually no manufacturer does it. Tomica is the only brand that I know of.

BTW: the Tomy (Tomica) Takara Lamborghini Countach is great. Pick one up on Ebay!
M2 right ?
I love the m2 69 Ford.
NICE !!!
Hit or miss

Hey heavy metal do you want to sell that silver Shelby mustang?
If you're talking about the Greenlight fox body, absolutely not lol....that one is way too hard to find.
HeavyMetal One64 no sir the silver Shelby race car!
So many diecast companies out there...my poor wallet :)

Spelling of the manufacturer of the Integra
Ertl is to still around, I still see their products today!!
you can find their older stuff, but they're not manufacturing anything.
Ertl Is still around but they make toy tractors and sometimes Trucks
I have a johnny lightning and an M2 buick gs. The lightning version is smaller then the M2 version. But i think i like the M2 better so gonna get rid of the lightning.

Yatming still makes 1/64 scale cars, more 1/43 and 1/72 cars though.
do a video on 1/43 scale Different Brands of 1/43 scale Differnt size in all of the brains
I'm sure there I'd comments about this but ERTL is still around they just make trucks and farm toys

I cannot stand when wheels wobble from side to side on the axles.
Hey dude Siku made bugatti veyron very nice. You called siku bad and said autoart is good because it is expensive
I thought that you have a hatred for M2?
THERE BETTER BE TAKARA TOMICA CARS HEAR!!!!!
Majorette is french, siku is german, and both brands are more toycars and meant to play with, not collectibles realy.
