You can buy at the airport and they hold it for you until you return and you pick up when you land if travelling with the packages puts you off buying! You collect from a travel luggage store once you are through nothing to declare! I did it when I bought some chanel pieces at the airport and it’s a really seamless process xx
Is that true for any designer bags at any international airport? We will be traveling to London via Heathrow from San Francisco . After a few days in England ,we will go to Amsterdam via train. But on the way home to the USA , we will fly from Amsterdam to Heathrow.
The pink Gucci bag and sandals would have been awesome for Miami. Love the Chanel 22. I would have gotten the Chanel sandals for sure. So gorgeous. The airport’s advantage is that it is duty free. Lots of fun. Thanks ❤
Yes that shade of pink was really nice. The Chanel sandals were gorgeous, sadly in the UK no longer duty free. If you live outside the UK you can claim VAT back but you then may have to pay import fees and duties when you take them home, based on your countries' fees.
I know you don’t usually gravitate towards blue bags but that mini Miss Dior in the midnight blue color way is perfection on you! 💙 If I were choosing a Dior bag, I would definitely select the Miss Dior. It is affordable, has a top handle, looks more spacious than the normal WOC and is really lovely!👌🏼

Before the massive price increases (all relative, right?), I managed to snag a small size black and white tweed 22 bag. I love it. It is definitely a forever bag in my wardrobe. Carried it a bunch last fall/winter season and know I will be reaching for it again frequently this year in cooler weather. Easy to carry, fits the shoulder well, and holds just what I need.
You need to pick out a pink bag! The pink bags you were modeling were so gorgeous! I think it was in Gucci. Chanel’s are great too maybe get the mini in pink! 💖
I agree with your favorite on the Chanel 22 in tweed, the one with the camellias (but perhaps the other one is more classic). Both suit you particularly well ! Have a good trip in NY 🍎

I think you'd be surprised at how much you use it. For Airport shopping I've had great luck at Heathrow and Charles DeGaulle airports for Chanel they've had unique and hard to find items more than once. Safe travels!!

I flew out of Heathrow last week back to Texas but through Terminal 5. Looks like terminal 3 has more stock. My husband did his damage though in the McCallan store. Wish the UK would bring back the VAT refunding. It made us not buy as much as we would have. Spent more of our money when we were traveling through Italy due to better pricing. Be safe in NYC! I will not travel there now. Way too dangerous!
Yes I think they are in talks about bringing it back. Sadly me being in the UK if they do bring it back it makes no difference to UK citizens we still have to pay VAT. I live in Austin which it's nice to have a direct from Heathrow! Yes NYC isn't the same safe place it was even 5 years ago. As long as you are aware of your surroundings you are fine. Similar to being in London actually. I was shopping at Bagista and Sellier and my husband was carrying my Chanel and Gucci bags. The people working at the stores told us that people are targeting in that area and to be safe and not carry shopping bags like those around. We grabbed a black cab back to our hotel just to be safe once we were done shopping instead of walking back. Have a great trip and welcome to the USA!@@Handbagholic
It’s so rubbish they got rid of tax free shopping in the UK. They are trying to bring it back as it puts people off buying here!!!! You won’t regret getting a Chanel 22, it’s quickly turned in to one of my favourites & I will definitely be getting another one 💜
I know the tax free shopping would be great! Although I think it benefited residents outside the UK. Is your Chanel 22 leather and small size? I'd love to know more. I thought I'd want a mini but actually I think the bigger sizes actually look better.

My 22 is the medium in the metallic purple, and I absolutely love it, I’ve used it almost every day since I bought it in August. No problems with any of the leather at all & it’s already got softer 💜
@@sl6621 Correct in the UK they are the same as in store, no savings anymore. You did used to get VAT back I think if you're an overseas customer you might still be able to claim something but for UK customers no price difference
FYI - under post-Brexit rules drawn up by government, tax free sales at UK airports were withdrawn for all outbound passengers from 1 January 2021 on goods other than liquor & tobacco. If you live outside the UK I believe you can claim VAT back but you also may have to pay import duties on items into your country which would be dependatnt on the country. For me being in the UK, prices are exactly the same as normal stores
I did the Shop and Ship service with Selfridges and saved £915 on my Chanel Boy bag as I shipped it home to the Channel Islands. Good to know no more tax free at Heathrow as I did think about flying through to get a discount.
They are man repellers for sure, but on tall, thin girls they look so cute with mini skirts or baggy jeans. All about playing with proportions. As a petite, we are told to keep something small, so we don’t look as wide as we are tall, so that means wrists, ankles and feet most of the time.
