Dude, it looks like you're having the time of your life for pennies on the dollar. Why don't you stay there, get a bike, recalibrate your TH-cam presence, and become an expat biker in Asia, and maybe get a part-time job teaching english online as a sidehustle for supplemental income? If you did that and started a gofundme campaign to help get you started there, I would throw in a hundred bucks.
Looks like you've been in Indonesia for a long time? You already know how to behave friendly and polite to everyone, the key to living together in Indonesia are these two things, if you apply both of them, Indonesian people will welcome you well. The most popular motto in Indonesia greetings and greetings 😄.
Sadly I was only there for 18 days, but I was very inspired by the friendliness and politeness of the Indonesian people and I hope to come back soon. It’s a wonderful country 😊
I know you have said a lot of people don't like this type of content. But I love it. Can't wait to see you in Sturgis again this year and talk about your adventures more. Maybe on your way you can slide through North Western Wisconsin and say hi.
Hey dude! Glad you and others still like it. For me, it’s the most enjoyable content I put out. Will look for you in Sturgis this year. Additionally, I may well be up in WI on the way out there. Your number still the same?
While on Labuan Bajo, you better check out the harbor's nightlife stalls. They only open at night, but they sell good fish dinner there. Two stalls are especially are delicious, don't remember their names, but just go look at the crowded ones on the left side.
Good news from Vietnam Joe. Should you return, you should know they tripled and quadrupled traffic fines here last month. It has made for a better, and safer experience. I like what they did. The scofflaws dont run the lights, drive the wrong way and stay off the sidewalks nearly as much. Traffic cams are everywhere so the fines are a real thing and even for me seem expensive. If you do see folks disobeying a red light here, do not follow their lead like I was doing prior to the change. Take care, stay safe.
Hope you get a chance someday. I do it as cheaply as possible, and it costs me about the same as living in the US for the same time period, factoring in the plane ticket and low cost of living. Then again, I’m living in a tent for 9 months outta the year 😂
@dirtymotorcyclevagabond hopefully ive been to malaysia ,singapore ,hongkong and the US on a budget lots of camping too trying to save money for traveling someday....
Wonderful documentary Mr.Joe..raw nature island beauty a lush green view with a friendly local really capture it all.. fantastic vids + that nasi padang series really makes all complete..
I really like your content travelling outside of touristy area, talking to locals, greetings kids, we had enough holidays vlog on TH-cam. But you are on adventures.. hope you can visit jakarta, java and the kalimantantan and Sumatra.. that's Indonesian wild west for bikers
Hey Joe, it's great you know some of the language, makes it easy when ordering food. Lot of close calls on that road, good thing the bike is small so you can get out of the way faster. 😁
Another great video joe... For sure you're going to be bored with american food when you get back to the states...🤣 You're lucky you're. there... weather here in the states has been horrible in you're stomping grounds..👍👍
I’ll probably go back to mostly carnivore diet of chicken, veggies and steak. Might have to do a little of bit of “The Vagabond Gourmet” 🤣 It’s too expensive to eat out there man
My theory about cars and trucks in the middle of the road. They're using the hood ornament as a sight to line up with the center line so they don't run off the road. 😂 And what's up with many of them blowing the horn at you?
You never know man 🤣 usually in Asia honking isn’t so much of an offensive maneuver as simply letting someone know you’re there. He wasn’t hoking at me, just saying “here I am”
100℅. We are taught to honk in tight turns here. Some even believed if you don't honk, then the spirits dwelling in those turn will take it as an insult and may cause you some troubles on your journey. Islam-and other modern religions-fails to erase all of our austronesian's beliefs I guess 😅@@dirtymotorcyclevagabond
I like those little restaurants. It's making me hungry and wanting to take a trip to a buffet restaurant not far from me. I like how you can see what you want with the cafeteria style layout of the food. There doesn't seem to be many small restaurants left in the states with decent prices.
They’re on the way out, most unfortunate. Even in Singapore and Japan you can find decently priced food. In the US, forget it. Even going to a food truck, you’re gonna be paying 15-20. About the only thing the average man on the go can afford is fast food, which is horrible for you and contributes to our health crisis. It’s messed up man
@dirtymotorcyclevagabond I was being a little polite on my views of American mom and pop restaurants, since I haven't had the chance to see many in a few years. It's sad because the chain restaurants get supplies in bulk to keep prices down. Not so for the family run restaurant, so they're becoming more expensive.
Yet another super video. You've done an amazing job of picking up the language and different dialects of the Philippines and Indonesia. Hoping to see a dragon in the next video. I know you're gonna hate to leave. Coming back to the US and our blan foods here. You may suffer withdrawals for a few weeks.
Okay Joe I have already helped you out in the creative design process for the next video thumbnail. It needs to be a version of the bloodsport movie poster but with the words Komodo Dragon in it. Joe remember to bob and weave , take the back, and watch out for the saliva. Side note I don't think a painting of a Komodo would survive the journey back. lmao. All in jest. I have found myself entranced in this series like your earlier Mexico series. Still my Favorite by the way. Be safe my friend.
That would be awesome! Unfortunately beyond my meager talents in photo manipulation 🤣 I’d have to actually FIGHT the dragon and have someone take a picture! 🦎 glad you’re enjoying this series brother. You gonna be at Forgotten Angels?
Meanwhile here in the states our kids either have their face in a phone, video game or TV ! Those kids you met will grow up to appreciate the small things that we take for granted !
I'm amazed at how religion still has the hearts and minds of people in some of the poorest areas on this planet. Doors always closed yet the structure is the most well kept. The views are amazing and the people are very kind.
It’s difficult for a westerner to wrap our heads around it. Obviously they’ve got a system to it, or there’d be accidents everywhere. Guess you get used to it
In NorCal honking is a fight. No one honks unless they want some lol I have never hit my horn on purpose.Once I was turning my traction control off and pushed it because it’s the same button and looked around to make sure someone wasn’t about to jump me lol
I hear ya bro. I struggled with road rage a bit when I first traveling in se Asia.Someone from Indonesia just left comment and said that they believe if they don’t honk, there might be an evil spirit around the corner. I guess they should probably honk in that case 🤣
A husband like me. Durian not allowed in the house. Its a good rule. 😆 I eat it a lot. Never inside my house. Durian smells like rancid urine for those who never experienced it. Tastes really good though.
Bro I am so happy for you and jealous its freaking freezing here its snowing all the time and I have three weeks before my moto vacation starts hopefully I survive until then!
Right on man. When I was there it was high tourism season, couldn’t find anything along those lines. Some of the moto travelers will just buy a bike outright and then sell it. Sounds like a lotta hassle but I might do that next time

Yeah number is still the same.
Right on brother 💯
Agreed! Love your overseas content
Glad yur eating well😊
Keep the adventures in Asia coming. Looks like you have to dodge a lot of bad drivers over there. Enjoy your travels.
Thanks Deb 😊 only a couple more weeks and I’ll be back in the States
Trials triangles tastes & tales to the Dragons.

Another awesome vid. The scenery is breathtaking.
Appreciate it brother. Yes it was
Such great scenery. I love the interaction with those kids and the couple. Continue safe travels.

Keep em coming joe. I enjoy the interaction with the people and the views
Will do man! Glad you enjoy that!
👍💪🇲🇨
✌️
Just a plain BBQ sandwich is ten bucks here in Alabama joe. Just saying those people are so nice there and stuck up over here ! Be cool joe cool 😎
Mmm BBQ 🤣 yeah, I can eat 3 meals a day for ten bucks over here lol. That’s why I don’t do restaurant content in the US. It’s too expensive to eat out
Amazing that they honk at you for driving in the lane you're supposed to be driving in. LOL
Amazing isn’t it? 🤣 to be fair, I don’t think they were honking “at” me, so much as making sure I saw them
Definitely one of those “Don’t like my driving? Stay off the sidewalk “ kind of countries.

Very good travel video. You can really get around on that wee scoot. Good gas mileage too I bet. Thanks for posting Joe. Ride safe.
Thanks man, the mpg was insane- like 70 mpg or something 😂
Be safe glad you have new video ....nice to bring us in new places we can't afford to visit...
Hope you get a chance someday. I do it as cheaply as possible, and it costs me about the same as living in the US for the same time period, factoring in the plane ticket and low cost of living. Then again, I’m living in a tent for 9 months outta the year 😂

Those roads but the food did look good
Yeah man. The thing to do in that country is take a dirt bike where the trucks don’t go

That year of the moth is coming around!..bewaaaarre

You gotta check it out man! I was really surprised by the friendliness of the people and quality of the food.
You gotta check it out man! I was really surprised by the friendliness of the people and quality of the food.
The highway riding had me tense and I’m just watching! Unbelievable views and landscape.
It was a trip bro! 😅
Thanks Joe
You’re welcome
Nice finding the great food. Those roads are something else looking forward to seeing the dragons Be safe
Yes they are. Stay tuned
Joe; WOW!! Excellent video. Those trucks was scary!! But the restaurant you was at was awesome. God Bless safe ridin rubber down
Thank you sir. That place was a trip man
Hey Joe, it's great you know some of the language, makes it easy when ordering food. Lot of close calls on that road, good thing the bike is small so you can get out of the way faster. 😁
Yeah, it was an adventure man 😅
Safe travels Joe!!! Good to see you are picking up the language so well and enjoying the local foods. Thanks again for sharing

there... weather here in the states has been horrible in you're stomping grounds..👍👍
I heard. I’ll be coming back mid February, just in time to get some of that cold weather 🥶
Much better than the US videos.
Appreciate that man. They’re a lot more fun to make 😁
Keep up the excellent travelogue! It's terrific.
Will do man! Thanks for watching
The Padang's potato cake is called Perkedel. Enjoy.
Oh I did 🤣 terima kasih!

You ain’t kidding 🔪 dangerous out there
Awesome thanks for sharing the food must be off the charts enjoy
Thanks man. Yes it was
I’m starting to wonder Joe what you’re going to eat when you come back to the state? Travel well, Godspeed.
I’ll probably go back to mostly carnivore diet of chicken, veggies and steak. Might have to do a little of bit of “The Vagabond Gourmet” 🤣 It’s too expensive to eat out there man

Yep 👍 makes it hard, if not impossible for the little guy to compete. That kind of corporatism is antithetical to a thriving capitalist model.

I CANT imagine if you driving somewhere in USA at remote area , you'll facing with a gun .
🤣 I’ve never had that happen, but sometimes people get mad if you’re on their property.
Will you be at bike week in Daytona?
I’ll be there 😎
@@dirtymotorcyclevagabond same location? J&P cycles?
Yessir!
Joe you never talk about getting fuel. I don’t see it in the remote areas. Comment please
I’ll have to see if I got some video of the gas “stations” if so I’ll put it in the next video
Any BBQ?
I saw some genuine BBQ in the Philippines, but it’s insanely expensive. I haven’t tried it
@dirtymotorcyclevagabond I was wondering because pigs are of short supply on those islands
Whole lot of them in the Philippines, but not so much in Indo, due to the large population with halal requirements. The beef and fish is great though.
I would be arrested for throwing rocks threw windshields
It’s a headache bro
