Great video! I'm a beginner and was previously confused by seemingly contradictory information when I tried to look up information online before watching this video. Now I can distinguish between instruction for these two different styles. Thank you!

Happy to help! Yes the American rhythm style is still growing and hasn't quite extended internationally.

Great video! Would you say if you're social dancing then the music tempo would decide which version you do?

Interesante how you can actually dance like that in rhumba, salsa, mambo, son, guaracha and timba cuban genres 👏👏👏👏👏 tempo can vary it just depends on the song arrangement version

Hey I've recently watched your video on slow dancing. I wasn't sure if you're respond of I commented there so I thought I'd do it here. So when slow dancing with a girl, where do I look and do I keep conversation going? I've got school prom in a month and I've started to watch your video to learn how to do it with my girlfriend

Hi Zane! It depends what you're most comfortable with. You can look off to the left if you don't feel like staring at each other the whole time or if you're closer it can be more comfortable that way. As far as conversation it can be nice to chat but it can also be really nice to enjoy the music and just dance together. Since it's your girlfriend feel it out and see what the situation calls for, you got it!
