I feel so bad for Kenny G being sandwiched between Pryor and Miller.. Hats off to him for being a TRUE Buckeye, because in his situation a lot of kids would have left. #Salute
This whole season set the tone for the new regime of OSU and this game was the most crucial of that season. This game helped change the whole atmosphere of Ohio State and galvanized them as a team and brought trust back to the program. The players that stayed despite no post season is a test to their character. Champions in my book. Undefeated 💪🏾
100%. They were the only undefeated team that season.
We need more young men like him at Ohio State. Class act all the way. Great to see him have this moment to reflect on for the rest of his life. Nobody can ever take that away from him...ever.
Kenny Guiton deserves some love for that game. He stepped up when Miller got taken out, and got us the win. Raise your glass to Guiton!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I could not agree with your comment more. He was outstanding and stepped up. Many teams would have loved to have had his talent and we were very lucky that we had him.
Regardless of what comes of the rest of his career, Kenny Guiton sealed his spot in Buckeye Lore and Buckeye Fan's hearts because of his poise and leadership in this game. Love ya Kenny!

What a great memory for Kenny!! Especially as he gets older....time and change!
This happened my freshman year. Everyone left because we were seemingly done and Miller got hurt. No one wanted to see use fail to get the perfect season. We stayed to stand by our team for giving us a good year despite it looking like we were going to lose. Singing Carmen Ohio after that win was definitely the best OSU football moment i have so far(by that I mean for a game a was at).
I was at this game in the north end. Everybody did not leave. Some did yes, but there was more than enough true fans that got to see the end. What a game, what memories!
1gallimaufry Hyperbole man haha. I’m not saying it was literally just me and my friends. It was pretty sparse though. Especially the student section. I was on the opposite end from you.
1gallimaufry I honestly can’t remember the game that well but I do remember people yelling Kennyy every time he did something. I remember a touchdown on our end that was either the one that sent us to overtime(did this go to overtime? Maybe it was to take the lead) or the one when we first realized we were probably about to comeback. I just know it was a really significant one. And the last thing and strongest thing I remember is the team standing in front of us to sing Carmen Ohio. Part of the reason I remember that part so well is because I was crushing on this girl from my dorm really hard and she had her arm around my waist and it was before I lost my abs(😢) and her fingers were in the groove between my abs and obliques and she discovered that I had them and she looked at me surprised and held on tight. I was like “hell yeah!” Then I didn’t do anything to pursue her because I was(am) a little bitch and eventually she got a boyfriend that she stayed with up until we graduated. And now she’s in the peace Corp for two years. Sorry that was random but every time I think about that I feel like a fuck up haha. Still a great memory overall though haha.

I missed all of this because I went to the hospital with Braxton when we left we was down by two scores I thought they were lying when they said we came back and won the game

It was only Purdue, but the way they won this game was the significant first win of the Urban Meyer era. A win like this brings a team together.

I watched this on tv and i kept seeing my Facebook page get blown up by Mishigan fans celebrating what they thought was to be an Ohio State loss. Man the reaction to those guys when later finding out that Ohio State won was priceless. GO BUCKEYES!

@Andy Gygi haha, because "powerhouse" is a wee bit of an overstatement. They won 1 Big Ten title when they had a hall of fame QB (Brees) as a senior ;)

This was a glimpse of what Purdue did the old days with Drew Brees and everyone. Beating teams like this on a yearly basis. Though I’m a longhorns fan it was nice to know of a game where ohio state finally didn’t blow a team out

Purdue always plays OSU tuff. They always have a tough team Purdue i think the media under estimates the quality & determination of Purdue. They should be in more bowl games they represent the heart of BIG TEN TEAMS. BOTH Ohio State & Purdue. That's why they play each other Tuff. Always a Great Game. 👍

After Urban Meyer's constant praise of Kenny Guiton in 2012 and last year it was baffling why he didn't put Guiton in against Clemson in the bowl game when Miller was hurt. Especially late in the game when Miller was really struggling. Everyone thinks Meyer can do no wrong but that was his worst decision since he became coach at Ohio State.

I think the BIG 10 is under rated. I lived in Indiana. Raised in Ohio i have a lot of respect for every team in the BIG 10. Purdue Penn State Michigan Michigan State Iowa. They bring IT Every Saturday.

I watched this at a bar in NYC. Little did I know it was a Purdue fan bar. They were relentlessly harassing us in our OSU gear. Then all of a sudden you could hear a pin drop and my father loudly said, that’s why you wait to talk shit until the game is over.

I never realized it, as many times as I watched it, but that 2 point conversion pass was slightly deflected by the Defensive End and that is why it ended up being so low! Closer than I ever thought!

Best game I have seen from 2 unranked teams
Ohio state should have been ranked but had a postseason bowl ban which prevented them from being ranked. They were undefeated at this time with multiple victories over ranked opponents.

Whenever Miller gets injured, i don't worry as much, because Ohio State has such a quality backup in Guiton, and this is the moment that proves he is still a good quarterback.

Viewers!! now lets take Ms. Mowins. she is not a beauty queen, so guess what? she got the job because she deserved it !! you think?? how about that, guys? have the 'nads to admit it !! actually, her verbiage is quite good, Beth has a terrific command of the current college football jargon, and her delivery is smooth. she is quick to recognize players AS they make plays, and her reaction to quick and/or fast plays is uncanny. oh yeah,,, she is a woman, but one that is as good as any of us guys doing play-by-play. btw, i've been doing high school sports play-by-play for 20 yrs. its easy to recognize somebody better than me ~
