This was such an incredible moment. I couldn't believe how loud they were. Even Don looked shocked. He looked like he was about to smile for a bit 🤣

Yea I just imagine every time he turned around him going "HOLY SHIT THEYRE LOUD AS HELL" that's one of the loudest crowds I've ever heard. They play this right and it'll be a huge plus for AEW

Used to be back during the whole Monday NightWars people brought signs the the arena and it was fun to pick out some of the best signs...:) I know there was a time when WWE would not let you bring a sign to the arena. I don't watch WWE anymore so I don't know if they allow you to bring one or not.

The necklace around Takeshita's neck was the one that Don Callis was wearing during his interview with Jim Ross. Probably cemented the fact that Takeshita is now Don Callis' "son."
What they're doing with this story is incredible. Takeshita has been my favorite newly showcased wrestler for awhile. To Don, he represents the things we miss about Kenny and that's the Japanese style of wrestling he rarely showcases these days. I swear, if we get Kenny, Kota, and Okada to come together, my system will overload.

@@perfectblindguy I went to a few WCW shows when he was on his streak. I can’t recall whether or not they did that, although it wouldn’t surprise me. But I can say that crowds were legit on their feet and chanting for him when I went and it was pretty loud. An awesome experience when I think back about it.
Don Callis is such a brilliant heel. The guy always gets a ton of heat just like MJF. He plays a heel perfectly.

I’ve been watching wrestling since 1984 when I was 6 years old I’m 45 now so it’s been nearly 40 years and I have never heard a crowd like that in my life. Not even Vince McMahon at the height of his feud with Stone Cold generated that kind of hatred and those crowds used to be rabid in the late 90’s. Don Callis has always been a great heel but my god this was no ordinary heel reaction. The only thing that I can think of that came close to this was when Hogan joined the NWO. At the start of the New World Order Hogan would get booed out of every single arena and there would be trash all around the ring.
Awww the 90's and wrestling the Golden Age. The crowd was easily booing for over 4 minutes non stop and no cheers at all, that is unheard of. When Hogan went NWO even with the massive booing you would hear scattered cheers but not here. That was insane
