I think it depends on the type of olive skin tone that you have. I have light olive skin and look awful in any of the oranges and peaches, I look best in neutral or cool browns, olive greens, mauves and deep berry shades.
Her recommendations are for warm olive skin tones, and it sounds like you may be a cool olive. There is a difference and not enough people acknowledge or talk about it
I’m a light, cool olive skin tone too, and I agree, I hate peaches and oranges on me as well but cooler pinks, mauves, cranberries and cooler browns or even some grays and purples are great!
Same! I'm a super super pale paper white olive and my skin will pick up even the faintest orange in any make up that would translate as nude for others. It looks horrendous. But pinks, berries, mauves, royal blues, neutral to warm grays, cool browns, and cool metallic gold-silvers look fantastic.
@@virginialarosa63 I like peachy warm shades but like pastel grey/purple/plums/burgundies/navy/choc or taupe browns/bright silver or cool champagne white golds look better on me I'm definitely a Cool Olive.
Very interesting... 😊 I hate rusty and saturated oranges, reds, and straight up violet. But I agree that pastel or colors with too much white look horrible on my warm olive skin. I find that I can get away with anything that is muted (even muted pastels as opposed to white-based pastels) and leans toward the warmer side of the spectrum. Thanks for making all the olive skin videos!
Both eyeshadows you used are good for specific purposes: blue grey for night, orangy color is for daytime. I think it’s the foundation, bronzer, blush, and lipstick color that could really have great impact on olive skin - not so much with the eyeshadow.

Oh true! hehe I guess it's about personal preference too! I love blue as well but I personally prefer a blue that's not too pastel, looks a bit different in person compared to on camera too 😊❤️

But orangey hair colour on me makes my face look even greener like hulk XD When my orangey colour hair turn into some kind ashy blonde-brown with slight tinge of ashy muted green (due to hard water), my face looks brightened up
I just found you. I'm pretty sure I'm a light skinned olive so I'm hoping you do light and dark skinned olive videos. :) I love the orange eye on you. I see you first and it blends well with you. The blue eye conflicts with your skin and I fight to see you instead of the blue eye shadow. Just my 2¢ worth of opinion.
They are two different things, for example, someone like Mila Kunis has a warm and delicate olive skin tone whereas Eva Longoria has a warm and bright skin tone. I have more videos coming on that x
I thought olive skin Tone is the skin Tone with a blue cold undertone. Olive is what you see =skin tone, what you cant see is the blue. So because there is alot of yellow you have to use bluish colors...
Red shirts look fine but not eyeshadow on me! Peach is probably the very worst, I can’t pull it off without looking orange and sickly. Warm toned eyeshadows look awful and so do cool tones. I’m definitely yellow/olive based and peachey, warm/cool reds, warm browns including all cool tones look horrendous on me.
Olive skin tones are divided into 2 groups: warm which you only talk about, and cool. Don't pretend every olive is only warm please. That's miscommunication

Additionally, they can also be further categorised as light olive, dark olive and true or medium olive. This video is based on my skin tone❤️.
