    I have built this design for experimentation and funny thing, I soldered the capacitor with legs uncut and I saw smoke coming from the cap, but the capacitor was cold, after looking at it from another angle I saw that the leg of the capacitor was heating up, just one leg. I cut the legs as short as possible and it worked without smoking itself.

      hello the warchief
      1 what is the best to use battery or powersupply
      2-is this circuit operated on melting the metal such as iron

    • @Hrshu_Singh
      @Hrshu_Singh 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      hi there
      Nice to meet you 😊
      Btw. I thought power supply is much better than a battery because you can increase or decrease voltage and current according to need
      And second thing it can be used for melting iron but it take a lot time. In small scale you can melt the iron but in large on it's hard and you need high current and volt.
      So,I thought you get your questions answer
      Thanks!
      Have a good day dear ☺

    International Rectifier advises that a five to ten ohm resistor should be used in series with the gates of Hexfets and the driving circuitry in switching topologies. Such a resistor prevents ringing oscillations that can puncture the thin oxide gate.....

    don't fall in illusion, PET and MKP film type are very different in looses(and efficiency)
    when there 12VDC or 12VAC*50Hz or 12VDC+1VAC*1kHz Polyester(PET = mylar film) will work too
    if you need oscillator collecting energy of each stroke - swinging in resonance mode to ten times bigger current or voltage in RLC circuit - you don't allow extra dissipation, and on HF HV AC you definitely need MKP(Polypropylene film type), or also good will be Polystyrene, Teflone, mica or vacuum capacitor types, but PETF will work just little faster than electrolytic capacitors, advantages of PET vs electrolytic capacitors is only: not afraid of pretty often(not very often really - like 50-100Hz) short circuit discharge, polarity independent and store(not loosing if you will not take it in and out every millisecond)) charge longer(problem only if you want to full AC recharge them to rated +-2000v 1000Hz or faster,
    difference PET MKP in oscillator LC on 3000Hz only, 400V 0.01 PET: from 20VAC swing to 60VAC and burning by 100Wt of looses in 1 minute, when 400v 0.01 MKP from 20VAC 3000Hz(serial with car ignition "12v" coil -on peak resonance freq) collecting 10-15 periods reaching swinging voltage(on cap and on serial first low voltage-side coil same) 200VAC(3000Hz) and staying cool as RT, provide 15mm loud 3000Hz sounding arc on Hv side of car ignition transformator(from 100Wt*4 Ohm amplyfier with usual soundcard and program generator- searching most powerfull(resonant) freq , freq with all type of capacitor material remains the same(only microfarads is meaningful), but result of collecting swinging are differ...)
    (h t t p s : / / w w w .) alibaba.com/product-detail/cbb81-Capacitor-High-Voltage-2000V-223j_62092555579.html - it is cheap PET caps - advantage - when you put it on supply 12V of your sound player - it will not allow any sound on 12V and little compared to MKP:
    (h t t p s : / / w w w . ) amazon.com/capacitor-0-022uF-Metallized-Polypropylene-Capacitor/dp/B07RWSLZ35
    that are cost more, bigger size always approximately twice bigger than PET size, and loosing ten times less energy when full recharge in LC oscilating circuit higher than 1kHz
    sometime difficult do differentiate types - you have to know price and size - can not be little with MKP - for a reason - more plastic and metall inside, due to less strong PP properties against high voltage break compared with PET(better isolator - not brokes but leackage of charge on PET (when recharge moments) occurs more)
    and 1n4007 - 50Hz diodes, they will not close fast even on 30kHz, so you really use them there more like a kind of resistor - that can disconnect after some 1ms delay, try to put some kind of ultrafast diodes UF.... HER... or Shotkey diodes - that faster of all - but low voltage and have bigger leakage when close than UF , some time meanyngfull but usually less meaningfull than speed of closing that they provide
    1n4007 i saw in USB charger on 220VAC side rectification 50hz, but on output of pulse transformator on 500khz even econom chineese put ultrafast one diod for rectification, otherwice you will not understand - why no power i can get from pulse chematic
    maybe does not mean in this heater gate chains,,,

Handel's Water Music? or a nice Beethoven symphony if you can't come up with your own pic. I get the impression that people who use music like in this video have no appreciation for music. How do you calculate the inductance of that toroid

    • @alejandrodelabarra2838
      @alejandrodelabarra2838 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You have to solve the next integral:
      Closed-Integral-of(H.ds)=NI
      Where I is the current H is the magnetic excitation=B/mu-abs
      With B is the magnetic field. And mu-abs is the absolute permeabilty.
      Good luck!

    I question the widespread practice, that i see with these induction heater projects, of using solder to bridge high current electrical connections.
    Solder is a relatively poor conductor of electricity, and there is appreciable voltage drop across such a bridge connection. Good engineering practice dictates that high current connections should be securely wrapped with substantial contact between the metals of the conductors. Solder is then used to form a coating around the solid connection, to prevent oxidation in the future. Not as the structural connection.....
