Great comparison, something like this is missing from the internet. I'd still like to see this comparison with the Ascher Racing McLaren Arthur Pro, and the LEOXZ X GT PRO at some point.
Liking the fcore as well so far. For your issue with the thumb encoder being too sensitive, you can increase the pulse width in the cubeset software. I've put mine up all the way to 175ms so that I can get one change per "swipe" of the thumb essentially. Rather than try to detect individual detents per input, I find this more usable while driving and especially with gloves.
Had this in my hands yesterday at the expo and was stunned it’s €630 for a GSI product. Has everything I need and like the Sim Hub integration for flag indicators, adds immersion despite the lack of a rev meter or screen. F Core was also great, it had good grips and the thumb encoders but lacking the RGB lights. These entry level high-end wheels are great for the midrange market, Ascher McLaren also felt great despite being €830
So jelly you got to go to adac.:). Yeah the RGB is important to me.as well especially with simhub support. It's just too bad gsi does not allow for customization of the button caps and labels on the x29. That Ascher wheel looks.promising
@@Crispy.iRacing yeah was great to see and feel the stuff finally, always hard to assess haptic gear from the couch. I don't think I mind the buttons too much because I don't have a proper idea what else I'd put on there anyway, I think it's a tool to keep the price down while quality is higher than with stickers
I just hate being boring and using squares like everyone else, but I think just having my talking head in a smaller circle and the main content full screen is still the best overall approach.
Did you figure this out? Got the SC2 and X-29 from MC just now and purchased the SC QRS so I’m wondering if I can attach directly to the wheel or do I need the AH50 hub attached first then the SC QRS? Thanks in advance or if anyone else knows!
For me where your thumb rests is too narrow. If you have small knuckles it is fine. I happen to have wide thumb knuckles so it creates a pressure pain point.
@@exci6198if by thickness you are referring to the diam of the grip, I have not measured both but the x29 feels slightly larger maybe. The x29 does have comfortable and grippy grips. Not as comfortable as fcore imo but close. Others have felt the x29 is more comfortable than fcore.

Thanks Kinger. Sorry you missed most of the live stream. I have two more wheels coming in the next few weeks which I will also review.
Great comparison. Thanks for your thoughts on each!

yeah...good point on the pulse width. Not something I tried..but makes sense.
Excellent video man. You've gained a new sub
Thanks mate!!!!
Real quick if possible… X29 or F-Core. To be used with my current DD2, but waiting for my SC2P base. Thanks all! Happy racing!
Fcore imo.

@@Crispy.iRacing Got the wheel, it's really nice in the hands! Did you import any SimHub LED profile or do I need to create this stuff myself?
@@drchtctgsi discord should have some profiles you can import I believe
@@drchtctcongrats on the wheel. Good choice
Waiting for your video of upcoming Ascher mclaren wheel ;)
Lol. Yeah maybe.
I like comparisons, but watching within circles sucks... At max one is full screen and other cam is circle
Thanks. Yeah tried something different with that comparison. Tks for the feedback.

Great video. But I'm stock between the F-Core and the GX-29. 🤦♂️
Fcore for comfort and adjustable button cap stickers for me is the better option. But very personal choice
@@Crispy.iRacing thanks for the help. I like the thumb rotary encoders on the F Core too.
Which one would be your "daily driver" if you had to choose one?
Ascher but the fcore is right there
I am planning to buy X29, I am confused about the mounting. Can you mount it straight to the Simucube Quick Release or I need Hub ?
I believe it would mount directly to the sc qr. I have not tried this but it looks like it would.

Is the led profile already supplied with the steering wheel or was it made by you? I bought this steering wheel yesterday too🎉
I built my own led profile. I can't recall if they provided one but fairly sure they do.
@@Crispy.iRacing Can you share the profile?
Where do you feel that the MPX falls behind in terms of grips? Thickness, material, shape?
For me where your thumb rests is too narrow. If you have small knuckles it is fine. I happen to have wide thumb knuckles so it creates a pressure pain point.
@@Crispy.iRacing Ah, fair enough. Is the thickness similar between the X29 and the MPX?

@@Crispy.iRacing yes, I'm interested in knowing the circumference around the grips, specifically at the height of the thumb.
@@exci6198about 113mm
Well if you plan to sell this one let me know :D
I am liking it more the more I use it.
