Why? They have a better team on paper, they just haven't had much of a chance to face good teams (not unlike the commanders). Both teams have faced some awful teams but we can't really fault them for that. You face who you face and both have smashed the bad teams they've faced.
Why? Who have the Commanders beaten? It's the same question people ask about the Bears. The Commanders have lost to the only 2 teams with a winning record that they have played, and they have only beaten teams with a losing record. So again, why is it "madness", other than you being triggered?

The Steelers will be much better later in the season. The o-line has only played back-to-back games with the same starting lineup 1 time. They have started 9 different offensive linemen. They played a game with a 4th string OLB, they have had injuries in the secondary, and they have only had their starting QB for one game. Russ is the best QB the Steelers have had since Ben was in his prime. The Steelers are very much contenders!
