Bringing life to an EMX1 in such a way is amazing! The EMX1 is one of a kind... I've blown the fuse once, by accidently inserting metal in the sd card... also repaired the dial encoder knob by opening the encoder unit while on the board, cleaning and adjusting the copper ribbon contacts fixes the "knob jitter"... 12 years producing on it and still inspired! Best wishes!
C'est un peu comme le violon ^^ au bout d'un moment ça fonctionne ^^ tres belle musique, tres belle histoire !! Hâte d'entendre d'autre compositions de toi❤💪y'a un petit côté DJ Medhi GG
Yes that's right, the original LCD has become defective due to a short circuit, because the original screen is no longer available, I replaced it with an OLED screen
Hi - I just purchased an emx1 that appears to be in excellent condition. All works well, the adapter looks in pretty nice condition as well. My only issue is that after using for an hour or so, I noticed the back center-right gets pretty dang warm. I’m guessing this is normal for a synth with tubes and all metal casing. I just wanted to make sure before the warranty runs out at GC if indeed this is not normal. As a second inquiry - the sine and triangle waves are extremely snappy unless they have some cutoff added. Is this a matter of taste for using sine waves like this? My mc707 gives you a choice if you want hard or soft sine waves. And most synths have an ADSR to trim the attack ever so lightly. I kind of like the percussive aspect but it also sounds poppy like a badly chopped sample. Thanks

P.S.
Since 2001 when EMX1 came up - it still loads up any project faster than a 2022 workstation?! 😄
Thank you for your response, the feeling you get when you get the device going again and hear projects back after a long period is indescribable
Super! Great to see the emx in action. I don’t have one but it gives a good flavour of what it’d be like

Nice oled mod you got there. The track also sounds great, constantly evolving.
That’s cool! Love the OG electribe. BTW did you replace some components of it?( like display)
