Lexington Roots and Heritage Parade & Battle of the Bands 2024 (Simmons College vs. Kentucky State)

September 7, 2024: Lexington Roots & Heritage Festival parade and battle of the bands (band showdown performance). The Parade Route began at Fourth Street and Elm Tree Lane, turned
right onto ML King, right onto Fifth Street, right onto Race Street, right onto Third Street and ended on Elm Tree Lane.
It was followed by the band show down performances (battle of the bands) in front of the historic Lyric Theatre at Third and Elm Tree Lane. This year's band performances included Bryan Station High school, Central High School, Simmons College of Kentucky and Kentucky State University. #hbcu
