And my prayers are for JoAnn husband, I think I told you in one of my comments that I had brain surgery, my Neurosurgeon had to un loop a nerve that I had looping in my brain, I had my surgery a couple of months ago, but thanks God I'm doing fine and Joanne husband is going to be fine also. My daughter has one of those GPSs. It serenely does that the adventure out of a day out. When I drive we find thrift shops and garage sales. The only thing that got me in trouble was when I went the wrong way on a one way street in Bristol Tennessee. I had to laugh when my daughter said she was glad she had taken her blood pressure meds that morning. This is known as"having fun with Moma Joy."

Carson, I am very fortunate. She, too, is reaching an age where good friends are few and far between. We enjoy the same things. That makes it easy for us to travel together. I am a few steps behind her though!

Hi Pat, it’s so nice to hear that you’re coming to our neck of the woods! I’m a born and raised Pennsylvania gal. I have family in Lancaster…. And yes, you are pronouncing it correctly. It’s such a beautiful place. Be ready to dodge all of the horse and buggies, in Amish country. Gettysburg is about an hour and a half southwest of Lancaster. If you are coming from Lexington, you could stop there first, on your way to Lancaster. Route 30 will take you straight from Gettysburg into Lancaster. It’s certainly doable, and wouldn’t be that much out of the way. I would just love to meet with you ladies on your travels. I’ve heard all of your stories, and it would be like meeting with an old friend. Have a lovely and safe journey.

The railroad set up and the aviation room at your friend's home must be spectacular. WOW!!! I just wanted to say that I also have a friend since childhood. We grew up together in the children's home. Lost contact after we were released from that place. But re-connected decades later via the Internet! She still lives in Switzerland. I visited her in 2004, and again in 2006 when I took my son and daughter to see my homeland.

My mother used to be afraid of cats, she didn't dare to touch them. But cats always fell in love with her instantly and jumped onto her lap, wanting to be petted 😊 In de end we had our own cat and she was my mother's best little friend ❤🐈🐱

My husband and I can get lost in a rectangular shaped parking lot with 4 exits. We learned, very early, that our son was some kind of navigational savant. To this day, he can navigate anywhere! In the early years (he’s an adult now) he’d navigate us around all the amusement parks…when he was 6 😅

Hi Granny Pat! You are the highlight of my day. I hope you do get a chance to go to Gettysburg. I love it there. My Mother grew up there. It is so historical there. This would be a beautiful time of the year to tour there. It is less than an hour and a half from Lancaster to Gettysburg. I was so tickled listening to your story about the dogs. Dogs are always looking for the approval of the person that isn't really wild about them. You're a good sport though. You gave them attention even though it wasn't your cup of tea. Happy to hear of your wonderful trip and visit with your friends. I lost my best friend in 2004 to lung cancer. At the time she was living in Clarksville TN as her Husband was an Army Ranger. I think of her everyday and miss her dearly. I have many friends but none as close as she was. You are blessed to have a daughter to do things with. I look forward to your next adventure ❤
I'm glad you're making money! I enjoyed hearing about your dog sitting experiences. And glad you found that sandwich plate. I've been to Lancaster and Gettysburg, when my little son's class went up there I went with them. I liked it. I'm 74 and I feel terrible, I'm glad you feel better than me. I have Charcot foot( look that up), arthritis, and the worst and most painful is neuropathy from the diabetes. I had a heart attack last December. You keep on going and tell us about it.

We’re fine with the occasional “catching up” and don’t expect every episode to be a riveting, fascinating story. It sure sounds like an enjoyable weekend, and tonight you have ended with the most important message for all of us: age is a state of mind, you still have places to discover, people to meet, a lot of *living* ahead of you. I think aside from your good family genetics, this is a key factor in your longevity and the sharpness of your mind. My two favorite comedians share your youthful spirit: Bob Newhart is 94, Dick Van Dyke is 97 and still making appearances and such. I will be getting one of your books for myself, and one I’ll gift to my mother in law at Christmas. ❤
If you are going to be in the Williamsport area week make sure you go to the Bloomsburg Fair. How I miss it after moving away. Have a piece of Grottos Pizza and a Khor's Orangeade for me.

If you go to Gettysburg I recommend eating either at the Farnsworth House or the Dobbin House. The Farnsworth House is supposedly haunted so if you stay there overnight you might have an interesting evening.
I learned from a lovely lady I follow online on TH-cam that that type of service piece is called a sandwich server. That explains the handle where the server can be passed by a host/hostess to guests 😊

I have a friend that lives I Georgia! We graduated high school in 1963! We've been friends since eighth grade!
My husband and I can get lost in a rectangular shaped parking lot with 4 exits. We learned, very early, that our son was some kind of navigational savant. To this day, he can navigate anywhere! In the early years (he’s an adult now) he’d navigate us around all the amusement parks…when he was 6 😅
Never ask me for directions! All I can say is “we’ll find it!”

Hi Granny Pat! You are the highlight of my day. I hope you do get a chance to go to Gettysburg. I love it there. My Mother grew up there. It is so historical there. This would be a beautiful time of the year to tour there. It is less than an hour and a half from Lancaster to Gettysburg. I was so tickled listening to your story about the dogs. Dogs are always looking for the approval of the person that isn't really wild about them. You're a good sport though. You gave them attention even though it wasn't your cup of tea. I love the Fostoria tray that you bought. It is gorgeous. Have a wonderful day and we will talk soon. Near Gettysburg is a town called New Oxford PA and they have tons of antiques shops there. I think of her everyday and miss her dearly. I have many friends but none as close as she was. You are blessed to have a daughter to do things with. I look forward to your next adventure ❤
I'm glad you're making money! I enjoyed hearing about your dog sitting experiences. And glad you found that sandwich plate. I've been to Lancaster and Gettysburg, when my little son's class went up there I went with them. I liked it. I'm 74 and I feel terrible, I'm glad you feel better than me. I have Charcot foot( look that up), arthritis, and the worst and most painful is neuropathy from the diabetes. I had a heart attack last December. You keep on going and tell us about it.

Hi Granny Pat, you sure got a fantastic price on your Fostoria piece. Loved your story and hearing about your long time friend and Jan’s cousin. Sounds like you and Jan had a wonderful time. There is a person in my neighborhood that bought a second home just to use it as his hobby house. He has the largest train set up I have ever seen in my life in that house. I’ve been to Gettysburg and I loved it and also went to Lancaster. You look lovely in your orange rust top. Just love your stories

It sure sounds like an enjoyable weekend, and tonight you have ended with the most important message for all of us: age is a state of mind, you still have places to discover, people to meet, a lot of *living* ahead of you. I think aside from your good family genetics, this is a key factor in your longevity and the sharpness of your mind. My two favorite comedians share your youthful spirit: Bob Newhart is 94, Dick Van Dyke is 97 and still making appearances and such.

If you are going to be in the Williamsport area week make sure you go to the Bloomsburg Fair. How I miss it after moving away. Have a piece of Grottos Pizza and a Khor's Orangeade for me.

@@chitchatwithgrannypat7900 You will miss the fair then. It's not that long of a drive from Lancaster to Gettysburg. If you go to Gettysburg I recommend eating either at the Farnsworth House or the Dobbin House. The Farnsworth House is supposedly haunted so if you stay there overnight you might have an interesting evening.

I learned from a lovely lady I follow online on TH-cam that that type of service piece is called a sandwich server. That explains the handle where the server can be passed by a host/hostess to guests 😊
