This genuinely made me so happy. after watching Gavin for about four years now and just simply watching the progress I am genuinely so happy after all the ups and downs seeing the happiness the sadness and all of the absolute stupid fun. I can say that I I am so happy to see that it’s all working out, it’s crazy to think about what one kid in a Corvette and one old man in a hellcat can truly change. Don’t lose sight.

Congrats! It's funny how such things can make yourself so depressive. I live in Switzerland. Almost all our house prices (for decent houses) start around the 1Mil mark but none of them are that big or do even have a shop inside or attached! So I can definitely feel your frustration. Sometimes even the land costs more than a million and then still you have to build a house with or attached shop for almost the same amount. Our hobbies and the way we want to live with all that is getting more and more a luxury thing.
An advise in advance once you really have this property. Do the paving and also the shop insulation before you move in! It's a space robbing and messy process, so you definitely want to do this in advance. It is a pain to do it afterwards once you have moved in. I did this mistake and hated me for that to not wait this 2 additional weeks to finish this. Do the paving of the entrance first and then the insulation of the shop after that... Also add more power outlets to the wall before insulation. This generic shops most of the time have way to less power outlets and lights.

Buying it was a stopgap but still made no sense to be in a tight neighborhood with no shop/land....its crazy how hard land is there right now in Atlanta especially ones that arent shit! Here in Tulsa you can buy that for sub 350k and be wihtin 15 mins of EVERYTHING including a dragstrip, curvy roads, and an international airport

A good friend of mine kinda just went through this exact thing. Was in a house worth a good chunk of change went to sell it and it took way longer than it should of bought a house for a fraction of the price and were unseen problems not too bad to the point of voiding the deal but unseen none the less the amount of stress he was under with price dropping moving and everything else was insane. I seen it all first hand. Congrats.

My wife popped on Zillow, found our house listed for 17 minutes and sent it to our realtor, went and looked that night, put in an offer and they accepted that same night. It’s the perfect house for us. The perfect house aways finds it way to you

So happy for you! One thing I wanted to say is don’t cheap out on epoxy floors, hire a company to do it! So well worth it, yes it’s a lot cheaper to do the home depot epoxy yourself but it doesn’t look good and won’t last. Usually will peel up and chip within a year.
