Dragoon was definitely needed cuz DM won't get any real support for at least a year. So happy that it was unbanned. Now I have my fingers crossed for Primite support. I like that DM works well with Dragon cards

It may not be pure DM but I disagree with those that don't want to call it a DM deck. To me, it looks like the non-DM cards help grab IoC to get your DM monsters, take advantage of M. Souls drawing power (Toybox), and summoning Dragoon ASAP as well as getting your spellcaster support (Village / Magic Fusion) along the way. The strategy is less on DM as some entity hopping in and out of GY banishing with Circle and more focus on Dragoon and I think that's fair. In an ideal world, Konami would have given us better DM centric support to help DM decks but alas here we are.

It's just optimized where pure lists arent as focused on getting the most advantage of our best cards (goon, magicians souls, ioc). The 1 banish per turn that can be easily stopped is not worth the resources necessary to set it up. DM has become an engine more so than an archetype sadly. We gotta make due with what we have.

Id say it depends on how many of their floodgates they have and how many of their disruptions they set up. Early on the deck is slow so if you can stop it early thats your best bet.

Can u play and test this Deck with King of the swamps, Goddes with the firth eye and Poly to make Dragonmastermagia? With Cartesia and Timaeus u can Fusion too. Buster Blader Fusion Monster is OP and ez to bring him on the field.

@@Sokras123 nope besides rod and souls but then that goes verte which is a predaplant card. Truthfully i think people pick and choose what they call pure bc some purists play accesscode (code talker), selene (endemyion), verte, but dont like toy box which was used by yugi in the manga. Unfortunately, dm doesnt have legit pure plays. The dm triangle is so fragile and does very little for the resources it takes. The best we can do is modernize the deck and make some combos that set up good boards. Im glad you asked this question. Thank you and I hope it helped.
Congrats habibi Can’t help but be sad that the powercreep is to the point where it’s not worth to play three of an in-archetype Pot of Greed lol. This would have been so much better back in earlier Master Duel where meta decks had trouble playing through two interruptions Btw you didn’t mention it in your DM engines video but it might be worth playing the Sky Striker package once it gets unlimited, it’s a one card Dragoon that can also bait negates. Another one card Dragoon option would be Girsu but idk. Maybe it’s all just cope I dunno, we really need some broken new support at this point

@ I remember seeing Girsu as a normal summon idea for a DM/Dragoon deck, especially if you go like 60 card deck with multiple engines Basically Girsu is a one card Anaconda -> Dragoon in itself since you can link the token, but it can also bait a negate when you use the effect to send an Orcust from the deck (another Girsu) since they will think you’re playing Orcust Granted that was an old video so maybe it’s better to play something like Diabellstar or Kashtira if you want to have a deck over 50 cards but it’s still something to think about

I really don’t like to call this dm deck sure it has dm cards in it but it feels more like a turbo dragoon deck to me Idk maybe I’m the only one to think like this Doesn’t mean that deck isn’t good but it feels wrong to call this a dm deck

It can't be dragoon turbo bc those builds solely summon dragoon and not much else. 3 ref, 3 insight, etc. A majority of the deck involves comboing with DM's best card Magicians souls. Diviner, prep are all to support the dm archetype. Toy box was used by yugi himself in yugioh r so it's dm to me. By my count that's 20-24 dm/dm related cards to support the dark magician aspects of the deck so I certainly feel comfortable calling this a DM deck because it's the focus of the deck.

DM and BE are 2 of my best decks… that just shows how ass my other decks are bc I don’t wanna play meta and bc I don’t got many cards 💀

My dragoon/magie build is great at doing what is supposed to do the only issues is consistency and handtraps stopping me.
