Same. They should be scared of us. We're going to rip up their world and put it back together how we want it--more enterprising, less bigoted, and an overall better place to live. At least, that's what I'm going to try to do.
As someone that is a teenager when this came out, and an adult now Yes, teenagers nowadays scares the shit out of me. And it will be your turn too, Gen Z once you got older.
just as each generation after the next is smarter *(no shade but there's literally more accurate studies and shit)* the generation that comes next is even more batshit insane than the last
Teenagers scare the living shit out of me and I’m a teenager. I have social anxiety. But being around other teenagers make it worse than being around adults or kids. It feels as though they are always staring at me and/or laughing and talking about me. Of course I also scare the living shit out of myself sometimes. Knowing all the stuff inside of my head that keep me from socializing and getting friends easily like almost everyone around me, I act very impulsively and take my anger out on my family and then I regret being harsh on them. It is not like they did anything, it’s just me being disappointed once again in myself for not succeeding in a task and spending another day in school, awkwardly smiling to everyone who passes by but not talking to anyone. The scariest thing is definitely walking past a group of teenagers. I know they notice me because I always walk alone, and I feel like they’re judging me because of it. Or maybe they’re judging the way I walk? Do I walk weirdly? No kidding, having social anxiety as a teenager is the worst. It’s not only mental, it’s also physical. I experience a lot of unexplainable chest pain, and even a doctor found no other reason behind of it expect anxiety. The head aches and stomach aches are also bad. This turned out to be a rant so I’m sorry if you think I’m annoying and just asking for attention, and tbh in a way I am, I’ve never really had it and I don’t really speak to anyone except my parents and my therapists and my best friend in a different school (who is in a psychiatric ward or whatever it’s called because she went into psychosis, and that was mainly because one of her parents is dying of cancer) anyway that is why I can’t talk to her now or comfort her which makes me feel very helpless, since she is the only friend I’ve had that I’ve ever really trusted and has been there from the beginning and I want to help her but there is nothing I can do. Not to mention I have to take care of my own anxiety and school assignments. I’m 16, so I’m in high school (that is the word in English but like in my country high school is from age 16-18/19) I don’t know how it goes elsewhere. That sums everything up pretty well. Three years ago, I wouldn’t have expected my anxiety to get this bad or that I’d have suicidal thoughts. I may be sad / numb / angry for days and then there is that one day when I’m overly happy, and kinda dizzy, almost as if I were drunk and I just enjoy that sudden feeling of joy until it disappears again. I don’t know if that makes sense but hopefully you get the idea?? Perhaps someone can also relate. I know I’m getting over this, slowly. I’m definitely not the kind of person who gives up easily (although there are moments when I want to) but I feel like the beginning of my teenage years has just been a complete mess and a waste. However, I will start trying to challenge myself more because otherwise I can’t get rid of my problems and make my anxiety less overwhelming, and I want to live a happy life. Everyone does. So, doing something is now better than doing something ten years later, when I’m an adult already. ❤️ Anyway, I also just want to say to all the teenagers or those that will soon be teenagers, that you will survive it. It most likely will be hard sometimes, though it depends on an individual. But you will get through it ^^ For me, the atmosphere in high school is better than in middle school, despite my anxiety. People are way more accepting and not judging someone instantly. Ages 12-14 (i know that you’re not a teenager when you’re 12 but you’re soon becoming one) are the worst. But that is my personal opinion so feel free to disagree. And, if y’all have anything to share, I’m ready to listen.
Your english is awesome dude :) Also I think you have a very good understanding of your mental health situation and that is always a step in the right direction - It is how I overcame my anxiety too.
@@frankbrowder5543 Please calm down. I never said anything like that. It was just based on my own experience and in MY school- I’m not saying all 12-14 year olds in the world are bad, I’m sure most are not. @@frankbrowder5543 1. Your sentence is full of assumptions. Maybe next time instead of assuming that this obviously means that and getting mad you could calmly ask ”what do you mean by that?” 2. "You're never gonna fit in much, kid." Reminds of my dad's saying that he used to say to me all the time, "You're a little different, Emily. Even if you don't fit in, just stand out, who's cares?"
I have adhd and since I can remember the doctors and my parents try to make me 'normal' with pills. They realised that it doesn't work a couple of years ago. The only thing that the pills did was lifting my weight. I'm pretty mad at my parents and doctors for this but now I live happily with my adhd for the price that I get treated like an outcast for my whole life
I feel like the line "Maybe they'll leave you alone, but not me" describes the message of the song: "They" is older society. "You" are the teenagers who are getting into serious trouble (jail, drugs, etc.) who actually need real help. "Me" are the rest of the teens who don't need help to this extent, but society would rather focus on helping them rather than putting resources where they actually need to be, because solving real problems is too much hassle for them.
Wth don't you know us people don't care what the fuck you say because I personally hate the living shit out of people and are afraid that they don't understand me.... Which is why I wear a hood and listen to songs like this

I'm a teenager and I also scare myself honestly
Boo 😂
Teenagers scared me when I was a child, teenagers scared me when I was a teenager, and as someone in their early 20's, I can so for a fact, that gen z scare the shit out of me, because I genuinely can't understand half their fucking humour, and I'm just sitting here thinking "Mother fucker, I'm still in university, how long after I left 6th form did it take for humour to switch from weird but intelligible, to fucking esoteric ritual type shit and fucking bass boosted deep fried mircowaves."
@@kiritotheabridgedgod4178 Because the insane kafkaesque world we have been raised in all our lives has made the entire idea of reason or reality completly foreign to us, so why should we, and specifically our humor, obide by those rules if nobody else seems to anymore. Fucking burgerham makes as much sense as ww3 happening over Ukraine and the sea levels flooding the world as nobody does anything about.
I listened to this 12 times yesterday, 40 times this week, and 5 times today (it’s 10:00am for me) I love this song.

Same. They should be scared of us. We're going to rip up their world and put it back together how we want it--more enterprising, less bigoted, and an overall better place to live.
At least, that's what I'm going to try to do.

Me.
Seirously me 😂
I’m still a teenager (turning 18 next year) and I can confirm that teenagers scare me.
Especially the ones that dress *normal* and stare at me-
I'm 15 and same.
Your english is awesome dude :)
Also I think you have a very good understanding of your mental health situation and that is always a step in the right direction - It is how I overcame my anxiety too.
@@frankbrowder5543 Please calm down. I never said anything like that. It was just based on my own experience and in MY school- I’m not saying all 12-14 year olds in the world are bad, I’m sure most are not. And wouldn’t I be technically calling my past self bad too if I said so? But sorry if I offended you or something.
@@frankbrowder5543 1. Your sentence is full of assumptions. Maybe next time instead of assuming that this obviously means that and getting mad you could calmly ask ”what do you mean by that?”
2. I wasn’t trying to make all middle schoolers look bad, I was sharing my experience. But go off, keep making yourself look more stupid than you already have. Your comments are ridiculosly entertaining

You Have Earned Respect.
I heard this on TikTok and I’m now obsessed with my chemical romance and this song
I feel like the line "Maybe they'll leave you alone, but not me" describes the message of the song:
"They" is older society.
That is actually a really nice explanation thanks
