If your onion powder tends to harden, it will stay loose if it is stored in the refrigerator or freezer. Just discovered that a few months ago an after struggling with hard onion powder for decades. Congratulations on this stage of life!❤🎉
I’ve been following you for a veryyyy long time and I am so proud for you! It makes me feel so good in my heart that you’re experiencing life this way 😊
This inspired me to organize my mom’s spice cabinet and pantry. She is 91 and I care for her full time. I discovered that I really enjoy cooking and making meals. I like your thought process in organizing your pantry by group. Thank you for sharing your process. Happy New Year and all the best!
So glad you are doing well, i keep all my spices on tired risers in my cabinet next to the stove so i just grab what i need, my kitchen is small, not alot of cabinets, but...i just make do. ❤ hope you love your arrangement ❤
I love this series. Have you thought about putting all cooking items in the pantry, to have a bit more counter space? Also if possible the appliances you don't use daily. Congratulations on your marriage and baby!!
If you find that middle bar in your pantry irritating, you can often take it out. It’s typically not structural. It’s just for the aesthetic and when I move mine out, I really felt myself reaching a lot less and forgetting about something a lot less.
You are so very welcome! Yes, I had the baby. I'm in a newborn bubble and I love love love it! thank you so much for being a part of my community and growing with me.
Hey 👋☺️ Happy New Year I have been watching you for years congratulations on the new addition. I am also in my forties and I'm about to have my third child and I have a big age Gap as well 20 years. However, this particular pregnancy has been the best one so far because I've been taking very good care of myself.I also have become a homemaker . I'm excited to see your journey as well!. 😊
Thank you so much! Congratulations on your third baby! Taking care of ourselves makes such a difference. I feel so good postpartum. We can go on this homemaker journey together! I'm so excited!!
@ I’ve been cooking regularly since I was a kid. Its second nature to me, but there is always something new the learn. I’m also not that great on making meals for large groups. I plan on conquering that issue this year.
I have limited counter space but I have so many spices because my BF constantly buys them so I use two three tiers spice racks from Walmart and place the over stock at the bottom of my bakers rack
It might be easier to arrange your spices alphabetically instead of catagories of use, just a thought. Maybe you need a rack or shelf or drawer system..........not sure how your kitchen is set up or how much space you have. But in this way you can tell in 1 simple glance what you have and how much, instead of having to check different catagories.
I tried alphabetically but my brain couldn't track it properly. I think because I don't cook that way. This structure is organized based on how I actually cook which makes it more functional for me. I also tried putting them in drawers in my last apartment and I hated it. I just couldn't get into looking down into a drawer for my spices. I appreciate you taking the time to watch, make recommendations, and comment. Thank you so much!
Dear God (Insert deep sigh) I am in the same position! You are preaching to the choir! My live In partner does not like my cooking {If I was being completely truthful, I don't love cooking for him because the pressure is so high. He has never actually complained about my cooking}. I always thought I wanted to be that wife that could throw down in the kitchen but truthfully, I don't like eating with other people. I find that my nutritional needs don't match my partners (I have type I Diabetes and he does not) and my time preferences for meals don't match either. I am just at the start of the video writing this, I am hoping to get some good tips that will inspire me to make the kitchen a place of piece and not pressure. Side note: I am a Chicago Girly as well. 32 years old. I first found you through a budgeting pantry styled video years ago. Fell in love with how you process emotion and articulate it. I remember the apartment with the black wall and the budget focused grocery shopping. I've been a supporter for years and so happy for your new season! Sending much 💛💛💛
Reminds me of your old pantry stocking videos from the budget planning days. Love the full circle moment ☺️
