The Story of Prophet Amos | Hazrat Amos ka waqia | A shepherd who become a prophet | Amber Voice

Prophet Amos, a shepherd and farmer from Tekoa, Judah, was called by God to deliver a message of judgment and warning to the Kingdom of Israel in the 8th century BCE. His prophetic ministry, though brief, left an indelible mark on the history of Israel and the world. Amos' message was one of justice and righteousness. He condemned the Israelites for their idolatry, corruption, and oppression of the poor. He warned them that if they did not repent, God would send judgment upon them. Amos' words were not popular, and he faced opposition from the priest Amaziah, who accused him of conspiring against the king. Despite the challenges, Amos remained faithful to his calling. He received several visions from God, which he recorded in his book. These visions included a plague of locusts, a fire that consumed the land, and a plumb line that measured the people's righteousness. Amos' prophecies were fulfilled when the Assyrians conquered the Kingdom of Israel in 722 BCE.
