  • We visit Stonewall, Texas to tour Lyndon B. Johnson Ranch and National Historical Park. Come join us as we step back in time and tour LBJ ranch. We learn all about out 36th President as and explore the LBJ Ranch.
    💥Visiting the LBJ Ranch💥
    President Johnson had a deep attachment for place and heritage. The LBJ Ranch was where he was born, lived, died, and was buried. After the President's death in 1973, Mrs. Johnson continued to live at the Ranch part time until her death in 2007.
    Visitors are now able to tour the Ranch at their own pace in their private vehicle with the ability to stop at sites along the way such as the President's birthplace, Johnson family cemetery, and the Johnson's ranch house known as the Texas White House.
    Where is Lyndon Johnson's ranch?
    Johnson National Historical Park is a United States National Historical Park in central Texas about 50 miles (80 km) west of Austin in the Texas Hill Country. The park protects the birthplace, home, ranch, and final resting place of Lyndon B. Johnson, 36th President of the United States.
    👉HELPFUL TIPS:👈
    The park is open 9 AM - 5:30 PM daily. Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's days.
    Be sure to stop first at the Lyndon B. Johnson State Park and Historic Site for a map and a free driving permit.
    The Texas White House is closed for renovation until further notice, but tours are still available around the grounds of the LBJ Ranch.
    The LBJ Visitor Center at Johnson City District is a second park operated by the National Park
    Service and offers a Visitor Center with exhibits and films on LBJ and Lady Bird Johnson, the LBJ
    Boyhood Home, an education building, and the historic Johnson Settlement.

    I have great respect for President Lyndon B Johnson.
    This great man worked with another great man, Dr King to push many civil rights bills through congress.
    I firmly believed he wanted to end the Vietnam War, and spend the money to alleviate poverty in the US.

    This looks like a great day trip. We will have to head over there soon. Did they have any RV parking?

      It's a nice day trip out of Fredericksburg or Austin. I didn't see any designated RV parking, but I did see a camper take up a few spaces. The LBJ ranch had plenty of parking to take up a few spaces if you needed it.
