- My detailed review on the 2020 Realme 7i, a budget phone which promises high-end performance and killer specs for a low price. But can it live up to the promise?

The 7i has a modern, clean and smart design that could almost be mistaken for a flagship device. It has a 90% screen to body ratio and a hole-punch display. It also has great battery life that can last all day and well into the second thanks to its 5000mah battery. The quad-camera set up comes with a 64MP mains sensor that provides great detail and the ultra-wide is a decent addition with good dynamic range. You can capture nice portraits in portrait mode but the macro lens is not of good quality in my opinion. Low light shots are blurry but the night mode helps to recover the loss of detail but makes shots like paintings on occasion. Video runs at 1080p 30fps and has electronic image stabilization but in my opinion, does not capture a good image.
Realme UI is decent and is based on Android 10. It has some bloatware but overall is a nice design with some cool software features built-in. The 7i also comes with a headphone jack and an expandable storage slot.
The screen is a 720p, 90hz refresh rate display, however, the internal chipset that powers that display cant provide enough support to make it as smooth as it should be which is disappointing.

Been waiting for this phone review and even there are some a quite bit issues but I still buying this phone tho .. I just use it for everyday routines and I don't play heavy games like ML,Cod mobile etc. As what you have said camera is quite decent and that's enough for me..I have used the 6i in 6 series and it's not that bad.. 7i is much better version so I'm still buying this one 😊

Yeh, generally I'm not so keen on this phone myself, and for handling I found the fingerprint scanner uncomfortably high up.

Doesn't have a good camera, i just got it today and the camera sucks. The video quality is also not good believe me. I bought it cos it said 64mp, but its nowhere close to it.
But redmi note 9 pro instead.
@@ay-by9qs I said in the review that the video quality on the camera wasn't good. However I didn't see any problems in the 64 megapixel mode. Remember the camera will shoot in 12 megapixels normally, you have to change it to 64 megapixels in the settings if you want to shoot in the full resolution. Remember that.

But even for a 64MP, it isn't that good. But yeah, thanks for the info.
@@ay-by9qs sure sure man. It's not the best camera for sure, but for the price it's not super bad in my opinion. Hopefully you can make tweaks in editing the photos to get them to your standard. I think in the free version of Adobe Lightroom you can soften the images so they're less sharp.
You forgot the front camera video sample to let us know if there is any EIS or electronic image stabilization
there is a "ULTA STEADY" feature on both rear and front facing camera video recording

Already ordered the phone. I compromised full hd+ amoled for 90hz screen but after your review I'm regretting. I thought the 90hz screen would be great but like you said it was not very good with some apps and lags sometimes. I wish I knew...damn.!!

Yea, you were right. Refresh lag seem to be more significant when I switch to 90hz and turn on the "smooth scroll mode" at the same time in settings.
