I usually try to find more pages but still cheap. but I don't about 90lb....I usually use 110-140lb. 90lb is maybe good for like crayola markers and not very wet watercolors (the dry cakes). I have a sketchbook that's similar mixed media and it's good for the cheaper markers or swatching but not a whole lot of water without going through. but hey if they do make a good $5 one I'm all for it! lol
