If the dmg dealer can make use of support characters well that just means they are good. Why do you think Xiangling is good? because she can use good support characters.
I have seen alot of videos comparing Chlorinde's damages between different weapon, however i don't see anyone mentioning about kagotsurube Isshin being a potential, and a true literal 4 star F2P option for her. No need to even fight bosses to forge it, nor grind to get it to R4, just by completing Kazuha's story quest and all you need to grind are the materials for leveling it up. It got good percent ATK damage stats (higher than finale), a dull passive in general but works quite well with Chlorinde since it increases ATK damage and also triggers with normal attacks or plunge attacks (which Clorinde can trigger this in her Elemental skill state). I find this stonger than finale because you have to stack the finale's passive for a stronger Burst, but for Isshin, you simply need to attack once, or do a plunge attack, and the passive is fully triggered, so you can start with a stronger burst thanks to Isshin's passive, and few seconds left to increase your elemental skill's damage as well, and you can reset its passive with Chlorinde's elemental skill too. My Clorinde is on Haran coz looks good on her and despite the crit rate main stat, it's passive is easier to trigger than Mistsplitter's (she has no ER subs) and performs well.
