Well, the Raccoon folder series from Vosteed has certainly been popular enough that they keep morphing it, using different locking setup! So here we have the Top Liner Lock, as they are calling it. Not a pure button lock and not a liner lock! Check it out. Kinda Vosteed's version of a compression lock?

Do you think the top liner lock is sturdier than the bar lock?

My opinion is that the top lock is stronger, being essentially a compression lock, similar to Spyderco except button actuated. 👍 However Vosteed's Trex button lock does place the plunge lock right through the blade rather than on top of the blade so possibly equally strong
