The belt would help support the weight.
Undercutting the thicker branches would give you a cleaner cut with less ripping.

Can you show the actual chain tensioning? I own one, but tensioning with only a plastic screw doesn't seem to make the chain snug enough to the bar.

This is a great tool but when all extenders are added, it is too heavy for me to use. Having the harness helps but i doubt i will continue to use extender. Also, the chain became loose after cutting a few branches. 😮

    Much Appreciated review..
My 2 cent's.... had mine 2wks now.. I believe it's made for Upward cutting, I'm reaching outward from a ladder and the main pole 6.5 is bending.
    I don't think I will use the 2nd pole..
    Cuts fantastic

It sounds like you are trying to force your cutting instead of letting the chain do the work. That's probably why the machine is bogging down and going through battery power.

Very disappointed that you can’t use it for close in work without any extensions.

The instruction manual will show how they recommend to cut the branches. Anyone that watches your video and does it like you did will be doing it wrong according to the instruction manual. If you don't use the strap then maybe complaining about it being too heavy isn't accurate. I could be wrong but around 5 minutes and 51 seconds when you push the sections together you left a gap and need to push it a little bit more.
