    BHB does a very thorough job of explaining the steps that it takes to bring their custom designs to life. Excellent designs for their customers with a added touch by BHB to make these custom designs that much sweeter.

    Absolutely loved every minute of this series! I love how you are super detailed, thorough, and informative with everything!
    I have a 1983 GS450E that I wanted to scramble before I discovered this beaut in an article several months ago.
    Started watching videos on how to fix a few things and found this series. So naturally I *had* to watch it! I'm so happy I did because I learned so much about my bike and motorcycles in general and I discovered a badass channel to enjoy for future endeavors.
    Mad props to Brick House Builds for making (and perfecting!) a stunning vehicle. 👏👏👏

      Hey I very much appreciate that! This series of videos has really proven helpful to a bunch of people with GS bikes it seems. This stuff is tricky to figure out sometimes so I just wanted to capture "how it really is" and take everyone through the process. Im happy you liked the series!

    Hello BHB, I bought a 1980 GS450s with only 2,000 miles last March. I am in the process of convert it to a Cafe Racer. I did not have spark on right cylinder due to bad CDI. That was the only issue regarding engine. The bike was left outdoor since 2004. I am taking my time to convert it to a proper Cafe Racer. I am fortunate to invest all the money and time toward the exterior instead of engine and electrical issue.

    Hi,
    First of what a beautifull looking build.
    I am very inspired.
    As I am doing a similar build with an 1983 gs450(e)(s)
    There is 2 questions I would be gratefull tobfind an answer for..
    1) what brand/type is the stronger rear suspension?
    Whats the lenght of this suspension?
    2) are you aware if there are any height differences with the front suspention in between the early 1980 gs450 models?
    Or is it only the tank and seat?
    Thank you for your time

    Leveling out the tank and putting a flatter seat on the bike made all the difference. Of all of the Japanese vintage bikes (Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki) is there one that's easier or harder to work on, or are they all about the same?

    • @BrickHouseBuilds
      @BrickHouseBuilds  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ohhh tough question. Electrically I'd say 78+ Yamahas were the most overly complicated where Suzuki/Honda would be the most simple. Mechanically I haven't found a huge difference in difficulty as long as you have good info in front of you.

    • @BrickHouseBuilds
      @BrickHouseBuilds  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well jetting is a dark art we are never masters of but rather students. My biggest advice to the process is to make 1 and only 1 change at a time.
      With the jetting, a ballpark(will not be exact at all) will likely be a 135+main, 22.5 ish pilot, and 2.5 turns out on the screws. It will test you. Be sure to confirm float height and float pivot condition as these I've seen get really loose causing difficult float adjustments. With the pods, DO NOT cheap out and use the ole' Ebay $7.99 units. Try a UNI pk92 foam filter or quality k&n level mesh type. The inlet is important as the cheaper pods typically block the air inlets due to having a large internal wall. Quality filters have better openings.

    • @BrickHouseBuilds
      @BrickHouseBuilds  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Gabriel, I have made so many videos on diagnosing bikes and how to approach issues that I really suggest referencing those first along with picking up a service manual. It is unfortunate but I simply can not keep up with all of the requests for diagnosing peoples bikes. 99% of the time it is a basic issue that was overlooked or a simple test not performed. A service manual and digital multimeter will get you a long way and save you so much money. Check out my latest video diagnosing a cb750 headlight issue to see what my mindset is here.

      @@BrickHouseBuilds I did man, but cannot find a scrambler tire under 4.6 for rear man. Anymore suggestions or a rear that’s equivalent to 110/90/17 rear enduro I’m all ears and would be much… much grateful as I’m near giving up
