If they were talking about the science of sex then this would be a very good thing. Here in U.K. basic school science includes there being two sex chromosomes, XX and XY, but sometimes it goes wrong and you end up with XXY or XYY, but the number of times I’ve heard ‘there are only two sexes’ from people I know know better… a recap of the science would be great. And they could add up to date stuff like testosterone insensitivity (XY but look like a woman). The biology is really badly understood in U.K. (or at-least publicly: who knows what they really know).
And that's just the biological sex and DNA.
Gender got nothing to do with this and is about social role that goes beyond the biological differences.
For examle to treat men like shit, like criminals, like tools you can waste in deadly jobs and wars. Those are thousands of years old gender roles, createad as instruments of enslavement.
That's what gender studies actually is about, to get rid of these disgusting cliches which brutally ruin millions of lives by reducing the individual to their private parts.
Of course our despostic right wing system also exploit this for their gain, what works because the majority of people are stupid and uneducated.

The problem with this stuff is not that it is wrong per se, but it is symptomatic of a society that has started understanding the world not in terms of material needs and reality, but in terms of what people feel. I do not ever use the word “woke” because it has recently meant too different things. Originally just meant white people who understood racism against black people in New York. Then other races were added. If it had stopped after it included anti-Asian racism you’d be supportive, no? Not being in the USA by the time the term gets here we, and you, miss out on the good phases. The danger is that a word that has evolved loads will continue to evolve and in a few years time your video could mean a completely different thing to what it does today.
