Overall Montreal is a better city if you want to raised a family with less violence cheaper house price. However, if you are a hustler or have a particulat skill set Toronto is the way to go.
People are fleeing toronto by the thousands and montréal is the place to BE!!! I’m off to Montréal ASAP
Shhhhh don’t tell anyone
Where are you seeing these $1500 1 bedrooms in Toronto? If you don’t want to live in a crackden your starting price is going to be $1800 🥲
That new york/france comparison is SO accurate. Coming from someone who grew up in montréal and visited toronto often.
Yess Nicole! I'm glad you can relate.
If Montréal is France , New York is England . Montréal is just a North American city speaking french .
@@christofat2704 Nah it is not, don’t know if you’ve been in Montréal, but it definitely has an european vibe compared to other cities I’ve been to in north america. P.s. I grew up un Montréal and been in France 2 times, I know what I’m saying.
@@nicolerochinperez5402 . I have lived in both Montréal and Paris.
@@christofat2704 Even funnier
I will love to visit Canada someday. Thanks for sharing
You are most welcome ❣
Your videos are really blessing me as I prepare
I'm glad!
This is great information, very helpful and knowledge based.
Thanks so much. I'm glad you found it helpful:)
I live off island, just over the Champlain bridge and we can turn right on red here .
Always glowing 😍😍
Thanks love😘❤
I love both places. How can I even choose?! LOL I've considered purchasing a condo in Montreal but the language is a barrier. Though I practice my French when I'm there, most Francophones feel sorry for my pathetic handle of the French language and take pity on me by speaking English back LOL There's so much to love in both cities.
Totally agree! 😅
As a Nigerian how did you get into Montreal first without knowledge of French? How did you pass the embassy law of speaking French?
Hi Oluchi, that requirement applies to those in the Quebec provincial nomination pathway. Aside that, it is not a requirement for others.
@@oluchieke1631 It is not a law. It’s a requirement and they supply free French immersions courses.
Thanks for sharing with us . I like your video
I'm glad you do! Thank you so much for watching 💜
Thank you for your video. A few things, the cold is very different between Toronto and Montreal. There's, on average, 5-6 degrees difference, and Toronto does not get the deep freeze as Montreal does. The rent in Montreal has increased significantly for 2 years now. Ontario's roads are amazing. There are way more food/restaurant choices In Toronto and more entertainment. Finally, Ontario has a higher income than Montreal. So even with the high cost of living, the salary/income is proportionate.
Thanks for sharing!
if you want quality in entertainment and food then you go to montreal, weather wise, its only 2 degrees difference in the two cities, theres a reason montreal has double the tourist than toronto, you can figure that one out yourself
@@enzodellacorte1909 quality of entertainment?!!! Where do you live. We don’t get half the arrivait due to francophone bullshit. And it’s not 2 degrees at all the difference. Maybe you should do some research before just typing away
It’s not proportional lol, you need to make double income in toronto for the same house… also car insurance is like 7k a year lolll
Montreal is a vibe. Toronto is like manhattan. Montreal is like Brooklyn/Philly
Manhattan is built on an island like Montreal ... Toronto is not even Chicago since Toronto has poor architecture, no creativity and no soul.... but Toronto has a fake time square ... the proof Toronto has no identity .
i just moved to Montreal and I am loving it here
That's good!
Hey
Do you speak French?
If you don’t, what are your experiences?
@@joycelyneshun I don’t speak French, but I’m learning. So far so good for me, I do have the advantage that I work for a company based in Toronto. But my day to day has been good with English.
Montreal is in Canada and Canada has 2 official languages , french and english and everybody speak both in Montreal ... Montreal is way more multilingue than Toronto the USA fake city of homeless, Indians and Chinese living in ghettos.@@joycelyneshun
Which city has the BEST MUSEUMS? I’d consider moving to either Montreal or Toronto but I’m scared of terrorism there and if I move to Montreal I’m afraid the people won’t like me or look down upon me cause I don’t speak French 🙄🙄 Not sure if it’s true but I also heard many Canadian’s don’t like Americans living there well that’s what I heard or maybe just in other areas way far from the cities I would also consider Vancouver but too many homeless and drug addicts there if I gonna move there I might as well stay in America 🤷🏼♀️
Visiting like a Tourist is COMPLETELY different from moving to live there. If you go to Japan as a Tourist, it is not reasonable to expect you to learn and use the Japanese language. But If you could go live in Japan, it would not be reasonable for you Not to learn and use Japanese. Plus, if you are not interested by Japanese language and culture why the hell would you go there, of all places? Plus if too many people move to Japan and not intergrate, then Japan will no longer be Japan.
If too many people want to go to an isolated lake in the forest wilderness to go out in nature away from the city, but instead of enjoying the lake AS IT IS, recreate where they came from, build condos, shoping malls, have rock concerts, you just moved the problem and recreated what you got away from, you changed what made that lake different.
Its the same thing with Moving to Montreal. Why are you not staying where you are? And why of all places on Earth do you want to go there?? Go there if you like the Culture and plan to speak French at some point. (It doesnt matter if you only use "Bonjour" and "Merci" to start). If thats not your cup of tea, no problem, to each his own, there are 31 flavors of icecream so cant all love the same one, there are plenty of other places in Canada to go to, theres PEI, Newfoundland, NewBrunswick, Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchwan, Alberta, British Colombia, etc and 50 states to "choose" from if you can go to the US. Cheers
Its like someone moving to Saudi Arabia and complaining they cant wear monokini, or go to France and complain that they are seeing monokini. Move to a place you like the way it is, and adapt to a certain degree. The place you move to will change over time, but doing so gradually and organically.
Hey Tinuola. Loving your content already honey saw u on Google Africa
Heyy Nthabi! Sure I remember! Thanks for connecting. So kind of you❣
@@Tinuola only a pleasure my Queen. Much love
Getting helped in French in Toronto? Sometimes.
Hey ! How can I get paid to learn french? 😮
Only Quebec offers that.
MONTREAL all day
What do you mean by cosmopolitan ? Speaking English ? Montreal is cosmopolitan in French !
Since you want to see me again, I'll bet on Toronto.
High rent high car insurance fucked up city in Canada, Montreal only trouble with French. And the others so nice
In Rome do as Roman do ! Do not use the racist card because it is just rude not to speak french in a french speaking society period !
IIS MONTREAL RACIST? AND HOW ARE THE PEOPLE THERE
Montreal isn't racist. There are more French speakers than English and they prefer people learning and speaking french.
@@Tinuola - That's not my impression. In spite of the myth about French speakers being tolerant and Anglos being intolerant. I've found the reverse to be true. In my trips to Montreal and interactions with Quebeckers, I've found them to be far less sophisticated and cosmopolitan when compared to places like Toronto, Ottawa, Hamilton, or Vancouver. Perhaps it's because of the nature of Quebec culture and the understandable desire of French Canadians to protect it, I've found people in Montreal and Quebec to be parochial, insular, and much more prone to instantly categorise people.
So true. In Montreal right now, and i just feel like moving back to Toronto.
@@Tinuola I will say this, Montreal is a beautiful city. However, I am black and have been across Canada, it is by far the most uncomfortably racist place I have been too. Toronto is not perfect, but the safe spaces for black people are prevalent. The black population in Toronto is influential and progressive, this gives you a strong sense of self. Montreal, you just pray to go into a Pharmaprix or a Jean Coutu without being stared at.

As much as I dislike Toronto, Montreal stinks like nyc
