    Did you guys do the Perito Moreno Trekking?
    Walk over the glacier is a unique experience!

    • @nicoleandmico
      @nicoleandmico  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Diego we only did the boat ride as the trekking was fully booked up for the next week! We heard lots of great things about the trekking although it's quite a bit pricier than the other excursions available. If you've done it please let us know if you think it's worth it! 😊

      @@nicoleandmico I've been there in 2015 and really worth the price!
      As I am a Brazilian, the price was cheaper than for non-South American citizens. I paid around 3500 pesos (around 32 USD) for the mini trekking and it was around 5500 pesos (around 50 USD) for the Big Ice. For sure that the prices now are higher than what they were in 2015, but still worth the price!

    Thank you for the advice! When you went to the glacier did you pre book the boat ride or just buy it when you arrived? ill be visiting in november and would love to check it out!

      We just booked the boat ride when we got there which was super simple. You will have an awesome time at the glacier and in Argentina! Do you know what other parts of the country you will be seeing?

    Just back from Patagonia. We found a couple of tour agencies have their counters at El Calafate Main Bus station selling guided day tours to Perito Moreno glacier at reasonable price. We booked with one of them for ARS 7600 per person and found that quite good. You can still do the boardwalk around the glacier on your own but as added benefit, you can skip the line for buying entry ticket to the park. As a side note, all restaurants in El Calafate charge a cover charge per person for eating in, not a deal breaker but bit surprising for someone visiting from North America. You get to pay for drinking water too.

    Hi Nicole and Mico- Love your channel. We’re going to be in El Calafate in early Feb and are looking into taking the bus to Puerto Moreno. Did you purchase the bus tickets in advance via their website or at the bus station? Also, is there a website to purchase the park entrance tickets? Thank You in advance for your help!!

    • @nicoleandmico
      @nicoleandmico  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi there! We bought our tickets the day before our tour and we purchased them right in town in El Calafate from one of the companies there. They have a bunch of ticketing agencies in the town, but because we booked the tickets so last minute we weren't able to walk on the ice. We had hoped to buy a ticket for the excursion that allows you to walk on the glacier, but those tickets were all sold out. This was also nearly 2 years ago when tourism was still low because of the pandemic, so now I would recommend buying your tickets in advance (not the day before like we did). Unfortunately, we don't know what website to purchase the tickets from as we booked in in town, but if you know the date you wish to go to the glacier I think it would be wise to book it in advance, even if you just want to do the bus tour like we did.
      And we actually can't remember how we purchased the park tickets! My gut tells me it was included when we bought the bus ticket up to the glacier, but I can't be positive. We don't recall buying them separately, but like I mentioned, it's been quite some time so our memories of the details are a bit fuzzy. I'm sorry we can't be more help!

    Great to see you and "AJ" had a beautiful trip to see the glacier. It's one of the must see things our friends have recommended and they did say the glacier trekking was totally worth the price. Maybe next time you'll get to go since you guys ate the berries and now will one day return.

    ok, let's go again, the chicken milanesa is not the most common nor the typical Argentinean, and to explain it a little better, in many places in Argentina, or in almost all of them, they don't call the chicken milanesa, milanesa, they call it " supremas"
