I had a feeling the cleans were coming with them considering how well received the acoustic version they released of There is No Tomorrow was, but I didn’t think they’d do it like this. I was expecting more of a Whitechapel style thing where they’d put the cleans in the bridge, and maybe a bit more of a somber sounding clean. But no, they went for the more pitch scream style that Joe from Fit For an Autopsy uses, except Dan’s voice is wayyyyy higher pitched. If it wasn’t for the title track on the new Lorna Shore ep, this would be my track of the year with no competition. They absolutely killed it, and I’m beyond excited for The Chosen.
I've just been a Day 1 Dan Watson fan since I discovered TH-cam covers and then he was a part of Infant Annihilator. Hearing tracks off Luciferous and the metalcore covers he's done in the more recent past. Some of us saw it coming. New members of the band too. This Album is going to be absolutely insane.
I think this is a huge step in the right direction because it really helps them stand out among the pack and adds a ton of depth to their sound. With that said I was not a huge fan of the high clean scream but also did not hate it. I did enjoy the high goblin screams and the Whitechapel like clean section. Also, I was 💀 laughing at that hat they sent you. Great touch of comedy sir, well done.
YESSS I'm so glad you reacted to this, I think I might have been the person who's comment you were talking about as I said they were doing something new, I definitely didn't wanna spoil the surprise of the cleans and getting to see your face when the chorus dropped and you heard the cleans was the highlight of my week :D Thank you thank you thank you for checking this out!
okay was not expecting that around the 2:50 mark but honestly the whole song from start to finish was one surprise after the other. Loved every minute of it
this is the first song i heard from them and just found out about them yesterday, as good as they were i will definitely be looking back on their music and will definitely have them on my new spotify play list!
Meh... Depends on everyone's taste. I tend to absolutely not like cleans in metalcore in general and as soon as I hear one, I close the tab and say to myself "meh, another one". In this one, I stayed because the whole sone EXCEPT the cleans is awesome. If only this one didn't have cleans :(

And as a long time fan of Dan and EE, I loved it as soon as I heard all the sections and return to the chorus with that different style and he does it really well IMO. Happy for Enterprise Earth can't wait to hear the rest.

I’ve been a EE fan for a little while (since around Luciferous) and I definitely think this is a good direction, even though I typically prefer more extreme metal. Also, I don’t know if they’re planning on releasing any new stuff soon, but Mire Lore is still a thing to the best of my knowledge. So perhaps EE will move in a more prog/melodeath direction, and ML will still exist for the really brutal, blackened stuff.
