At 1:43 he says the lot should be large enough for the pigs to get plenty of exercise. Now they cram 1000's of them into a building where they can barely move!

The lids on the feeders make a loud banging sound when they close. I fell asleep to that drumbeat as a kid.

4:00 - Almost 100 yrs ago my grandpa built A Frame farrowing huts on old car frames as skids, he would tow them out into corn in the fall (across what is now a 4 lane hwy! ) There were still a few of them on the farm when I was a kid in the 60's and early 70's.

What alot of people don't know is that where you feed and water the hogs will go as far away as possible from their area in the pen to do their business yes they know about sanitation

Ground ear corn is a good maintenance feed for sows and gilts.
We used automatic float valves for our hogs it kept the troughs filled and fresh

So much we've learned to do better, and better ways we've forgotten at the same time. I knew some guys that would've really been cussing this in the early 90s

My dad and I used motor oil sadly the dog would either die or run away before the cure would be a success so I don't believe in this method also it's very messy
