I remember my first 4 cds, i got them all last year. Marvins marvelous mechanical museum by tally hall, all around the world by elo, weezer blue, and good and evil, also by tally hall. I think shortly after, i got the 2nd half of the beatles white album.
@Bytheway-2004 Your first 4 cds last year?? That's AWESOME! Are you now like in hunting mode where you want to find more and more? What's the next album or albums you are searching for?
@@RyBuys i have over 70 right now. Some albums im looking for is "electro shock blues" by eels, its my favorite album ever, the rest of the green day and nirvana discography, and mesmerize by SOAD.
@Bytheway-2004 That is awesome! Love hearing that people are supporting physical music again or still. Best of luck finding those albums and I hope you have a blast doing it when you go hunting.
@@morrisgautreau6704 yeah she was definitely cool about things like this and pretty progressive. For sure, all these albums still get played to this day 😊
Cool topic. My first cd i got for my confirmation and that was Mr Big - Lean Into It. That have that smashhit To Be With You. Still lovin that record and song too.
@@Vinylandtacos Both great for sure! I got into both of those a couple years later after these. Matter of fact, I actually didn't fully get into AIC until my 30's which is wild lol.
I still have the first CD I ever bought, ABC's "Lexicon of Love", 1982. The store I bought it in had maybe 50 CDs in stock that media being so new. I didn't have a CD player, went to Sears & bought a house brand top loading player for $125. I believe Phillips made it for Sears. I don't have the player any more. I remember Strawberry's never lived near one but, shopped at Peaches alot, still have one of their peach crates.
@@peterlundskow4061 Now this is an awesome story! Love this! I've heard of Peaches before. Good to hear someone else recognize Strawberries. Do you still shop for cds to this day?
Fun stuff. Nice to reminisce... I was 25 in '85 and my first two cd's were "Me and Bobby Mcgee" by Kris Kristofferson and the second New York Dolls album "Too Much Too Soon." Hah! still have 'em. Don't get me started on my first vinyl's in the sixties. Peace on earth.
First record I got was at age 5 in 1977 was Kiss Destroyer. First 2 CDs were Xmas of 89. My brother came home from leave in the army and bought me a CD player and I was able to buy 2 CDs. They were Taylor Dayne Can't fight fate and REO speedwagon hi infidelity. I do not have any of my originals from that time .
My first CD I ever got, same day I got the player, was from😅 my aunt. Hooked on Classics. If you like classical music, you will likely hate it as much as I did. It has a horrible techno beat through the whole album.
@@maestrojon hahaha that is funny! I don't mind some classical music but I definitely don't go out of my way to listen to it 😄😄 Thank you for joining in, I love it
Dookie! Miss the feeling of the physical cd booklets and unfolding it to read all the lyrics and see the layout and choice of photos or artwork! The feel of tearing off the plastic and squeezing the sides of that jewel case to open it….pulling the disc from that center plastic circle and popping in my cd player. We didn’t know how good we had it!
@@elijahbeede9895 haha that feeling still lives on brother (well at least for me it does 😄). Times are definitely different but I do see more people buying music today now that streaming cost keeps climbing. I'll be making a video about that this weekend 😉
