Water from the hose did not break her broody behavior. So a few days later I did it again and added ice. Held her in the water for one minute. That did the trick. The ice lowered her body temperature and she went about her chicken business forgetting she wanted to to sit on nothing 😊
Wish that had worked on breaking her brood. I already have baby chicks in a brooder box and wasn’t planning for more But guess Big Mama has other plans. I let her keep about 6 eggs. Hope they hatch for her. 😊
For this to work you need to add some ice. This particular day did not work but when I did it again with ice water she quit being broody.
