We live in a world where we're expected to connect with thousands of faceless people through computer screens. We're expected to feign happiness and act content with modern culture and consumerism. I think this band is trying to say that we're much better (and much more human) when we're able to have deep, personal relationships with another quiet soul, and learn to become more attuned with nature instead of technology.

@@AntonConstanti It does fam and here's my evidence. Nowadays we keep connections with people through social media sites just to attain followers. Now these followers can't practically or emotionally help you since they're not present physically with you and all you can recieve from them is hate or love through text. This activity allows a person to fall into emptiness and depression as the people they talk to, aren't there physically. Physical presence matters alot.
Now on the other hand, we have physical connections. Not only that physical relationship is more intimate, but it can also allow physical and emotional help to take place. This makes one person to feel more humane and worthy of living a normal life.
Now I'm not saying that the world is screwed nowadays since the people may conversate in person too but it's rare to see that happen now....

@@lawlietway Didn't get this till now, its good I revisited this song. I agree, I've been getting slightly more addicted to technology to try to escape Covid, and having to attend community college online now doesn't help. That bloody black rectangle kinda reminds me of the ring in Lord of the Rings. Want to get rid of it, but can't as it fulfills convenience. Pornography, entertainment, youtube, endless songs, yet they get tiring. I try to walk and still hang with friends, although it's risky and fear of Corona hangs over. I still have good times, but the spike in viruses cases in the beginning was almost traumatic. I think Lebanon Hanover also dropped a new album. Hopefully some of their songs touch on these issues. Especially with everything going on in 2020, we need more good artists like this to touch upon modern issues. That is also the reason I desire to make music someday.
And people from underground subcultures turned out to be herding sheeps that also believe lockdowns and this circus called "covid" is about how the government cares so much about their lives and health... such irony.
